This is my first post here, so hi everyone. I'm 19 and I've been growing my hair for a little more than 2 years now, it's about shoulder length but I'm trying to get it at least to the middle of my back. I think that this is the only way that my hair looks good. I'm noticing it's getting kind of thin now though. I assume that I'm not going bald or anything (I am going to check this out next time I go to the doctor though since I guess it is a possibility.) since I have been told that it will get thinner and thinner as it gets longer and I don't have any actual "bald spots" or anything (at least as far I can see), it's pretty uniform in it's thinness. What I'm wondering is if there is any way to sort of reverse this. One person told me to get it trimmed like every 6 monts and another said it doesn't matter what you do. I was going to try this but I figure if it doesn't work it will just impede me from getting my hair where I want it to be so I want to know if it works first. I've also been told to use conditioner by one person and then not to use conditioner by another. And so forth. The only thing I have really tried is this shampo and conditioner called Thicker Fuller Hair that I got at Shop Rite but I don't think it works. So I figure this would be the place to ask for advice, if there is just a general answer I'd probably find it here. Thanks.
Try "Long and Strong Extra" it claims to thicken hair shaft and repair hair in 5-7 days.

I like what the 2nd guy said.
Actually, there are only three ways to get your hair to grow faster: (1) reasonably good nutrition, (2) keeping your scalp reasonably clean, and (3) maybe a bit of light scalp massage. #1 you can get with a reasonable diet and maybe a run-of-the-mill vitamin if you're prone to not eat very well. I wouldn't give a plug nickle for those high priced "hair vitamins," as if you'll notice from reading the label, they pale in comparison to common everyday multi-vitamins (Centrum and its knock-offs). #2 you can do with a mild cleansing shampoo two or three or four times a week. The idea is to keep the pores clean and open; if you let sebum and dirt and etc build and gunk up where the hair is trying to grow, production is gonna shut down. Not good. #3 won't have more than a very minor effect, but hey, every little bit helps, and an occasional scalp rub (use the balls of the fingers) feels pretty good.
There isn't a bottle of goop on the face of the planet that can make hair grow faster. Period. No pills, no gizmo, no ancient Mayan herbs, no aluminum hats, no nothing. There's stuff to make it feel & look different; for what you're wanting your hair to do I'd get a conditioner with lots of "humectants" (stuff that makes hair feel a bit thicker) and a bit of acrylates & PVP. Its effect will last until the next shampoo, but hey, that's as good as it gets anywhere. Aside from that, you may as well save your $$$ and spend it on loose and licentious living . . .
Gotta run,

like panthenol, glycerin with a bit of acrylates & PVP, and less of the . Read the bottle labels, see what you're buying.
