I'm trying to switch my hair which has had a side part for a good majority of my life to a ceter part... but the hair on that side of the hair seems very resistent to change. I can get it to look good when the hair is wet, or heavy use of hair spray/gel... but even then, my hair wants to go back to it's side parted positions it knows so well...
So, any suggestions on how to try get my hair to center part?
Hey Raverix,
I did the same thing....kept a side part up til it was past my shoulders. What I do now is comb it back after the shower (i dont use gel or anything) and comb some leave-in conditioner and either let it dry like that or tail it until its dried. this will leave your hair in a state where u can pretty much grab any type of "part" you want. My if your hair is dry, try brushing it straight back and seeing if you can get a part with that method. after a few weeks or even days of training it, it will part on it's own...no gel required. Hope that helps.

That's some good advice there Phil and it just takes time to "train" and eventually it fall like that. I've always had a centre parting so I've not had to go through much.
Good luck hope it works.

I made the 'switch' about three years ago and it took a while but training works. Even now some mornings it has 'forgotten' and needs to be reminded.
