Hey guys.
I have an issue which im hoping some of you may be able to help with..
Im a 17 year old long haired boy, my hairs just past shoulder length. My hairlines always been quite far back (in my opinion) and im really extremely paranoid about losing my hair.
My dad started losing his hair when he was around 28, hes still got hair at the age of 40, but hairloss is very obvious.
As i was saying my hairline is quite far back, ive provided an image of what it kind of looks like, except the front is more rounded and the sides that go inwards go inwards slightly more than this photo.
Is a hairline like this hinting at the fact i may start losing my hair?
I know i may be overreacting but a friend reccomended you guys to ask because apparently your not that judgemental!
Thanks alot.
Hi Maz,
From what I can see from the picture I certainly would not say you are experiencing any hairloss. Perhaps you can post a fuller picture and we can see.
Cheers,

Honestly, I've also got the same "problem".
When I look back at photos of myself three to four years ago, I realise I was exactly the same in terms of my front hairline, and then I'm surprised. I think it's that I only started noticing when I grew my hair out and actually became concerned about it.
So in summary no I don't think anything is wrong with it *yet*, though that doesn't guarantee what will happen later.
Hey Maz,
My hair is the same as yours. I have temple recession like the photo although my widows peak is pointy and still pretty low on my forehead, you said yours is more rounded. In my case, the front area of the widow's peak is thinning as well and so I am on Finesteride in order to combat this. However, I would say that as long as the hair in between your temple recession is not "thinning", you have nothing to worry about. In other words, this might be your transition to a "mature hairline" which many people experience where the hair recedes half an inch to an inch and slightly in the temples between the ages of say 17 and 30 (when it most likeley happens). Is the forelock area thin at all? See if you can get us a photo of your actual hairline and possibly side views as well. Take care man.

*I hope so too.
* I can see why you would be fearful of losing your hair, but to back up a moment.........why so little shown of the hair and of the more elderly wrinkles in the forehead for a 17 year old. Hiding something? (Just curious, that's all.) Seems a bit strange.
*It happens.
*Oh! So you have provided an "image" of what it "kind of looks like." Of whos image are we speaking? We need YOUR image to make the best judgements.
*I do not know. But time will tell, that's for sure as it always does.
*Hardly overreacting and your friend is correct about us. But it IS really better to see the REAL HAIR of the person who posts and not something out of a magazine or whatever.
