Hey guys. Ive got shoulder length straight brown hair, however today i noticed my hairline is quite high. Its been for a while its just today ive been focusing on it. I've found this, its called the Norwood scale and it shows the stages of baldness. I would say im a mix of 2 and 3.
Its really getting me down, im only 17 and to start losing my hair would be devestating. My dad started losing his hair around 25-30.Though on my mothers dies her dad hasnt lost much at all of his hair and hes 67. Ive heard its inherited from the mothers side (hair loss). Im i just clinging onto false hope her?
Sorry it may seem im over-reacting but i also have to wear a hearing aid, and i find it embarassing. So to have to cut my hair because of hairloss makes it worse, as the hair covers it.
Thanks alot for any replies.
Went through the same feelings brother. check my post on your previous thread; hope it helps.

If the problem is caused by genetics, then you will probably have to use artifical methods such as hair extensions, transplants or wigs. To slow down the rate of hair loss, eat lots of protein, and don't use dyes, perming, using heat-producing hair tools, or blow-dry your hair. This is the best I can come up with. Ask a professonal.

My MySpace
*the genes relating to hair loss can come from either parent or a combination of both
*propecia works best to prevent future hair loss and to restore that which has been recently lost. You should ask your doctor about it.
*transplants will keep growing forever but it's rare that someone as young as you would be a good candidate because it's not yet known how much hair you will lose.
Just wanna say thanks to everyone whos replied, very reasurring and a great help.
Sorry about the double post! I assumed my origonal post didnt go through.
Dude everyone's WELL overreacting! My hair's been at the very least a two on the norwood scale since i was around 16. I'm 20 now and it's exactly the same! Also, i might add that i straighten it aLOT (with a ghd straightener, and they don't come any hotter!) and i've dyed it about 15 times!! Keep an eye on it but don't overstress or your hair'll fall out. :P
I wouldn't say that I was OVERREACTING with my comment!
I don't think you or anybody else was overeacting John. You know how it is with people who live under the bridge.
