It's weird, but growing your hair really does make you change your outlook on life. A few months ago, I wouldn't have dreamed of walking down the street without looking neat, tidy etc etc. But when you are going through the awkward stage, you don;t have any choice but to either a) whine about looking like a scarecrow or b) just learn to chill out and accept that you're gonna look a bit freaky.

heheh, Saul, it looks fine to me. Then again, a couple years ago, I had kind of an afro going on... I'll see if I can scan my old driver's license photo in, so you can see what I mean. In another month or two, you'll be sort of able to comb it back and have it stay in place...

Awesome hair man. I'm hoping my hair looks similar to yours once it starts getting long again. How long did it take you to get to that length?

On 31 December 2001 I shaved my head completely - you could have played pool with my head! 13 months later it's about 7 1/2 - 8 inches long. It looks shorter, though, because it's kinda wavy - this annoyed me at first, but I'm growing to like the fuller look it gives.

do you mean 31 december of 2000? you said 2001, which would only leave it with one month of growth. :)
anyway, that is nice that you can say that you have been growing it out since the beginning of the millenium. are you planning on cutting it later this millenium?
