I know that my hair isn't very long, but by the end of the summer, it should be rather longish.

At the end of the summer your hair will be 1-1.5 inches longer than it is now, longish? hhmmmm, but definately longer than it is now.

It's going to be really tough over the next few months. It will be annoying and a fun learning experience at the same time.
Be strong and don't listen to people who tell you to cut it, because they will...every day!

Thanks, I've worn it long before, but my parents are never on my side. We finally decided that it would be one trim a month. I'm not sure how long, perhaps to my shoulders.
By the end of summer 2009 it might be longish.

Well, I really want it mid back, but we'll see what my parents think of that. When I get to college, I will grow it EXTREMELY long.
Welcome New Bee and though your hair isn't very long "yet," all of us had to start just as you are now. Just let the hair grow by itself and without trims to even things out and in 1 year you will never believe what an additional 6" will have done. And the most amazing is the 2 year mark.
