I never thought it would come to this, for the past month I've felt like cutting my hair but I can't..I can't bring myself to cut it, this is genuinley the first time I've ever felt this way and I don't know what to do cause I'm definetley not happy with my hair but I'm scared I could be more unhappy with it if I cut it
I don't know what to do, I don't even know if anyone here will know what I'm talking about..I still like long hair I just hate the way mine looks right now so much
And I know I should be able to answer this myself but I can't, I'm confused cause I feel my hair is a big part of me
Please help
Talking about personal experience, when I cut my semi-long hair I regretted it badly, cause when I had it I felt like I was ''someone'',and not having it made me feel like just another person in this big planet;so,if I were you I would just wait and see what happens, and remember, short hair is much harder to manage, and you can also count on hair products, hats and in extreme cases, the iron, and after you reach you desired length, even if you still don't like it,you will feel like you've conquered something, and you will be proud of it.Good luck with you growing! :)
Thanks :)
Actually been growing it for quite awhile though, it's about one and a half or two inchs below my chest at it's longest part, I think I will keep it though but I'm worried I might cut it because most people want me to and now that I kind of want to, well..I might do it and regret it
It is really your choice. A pic might help. My opinion ... Your indecision is all I need to say NO!!! Absolutely do not cut it until you KNOW that's what you want. You can always decide to cut but ... you can't un-cut it. Wait till YOU are sure.
Thanks, I suppose I just wish there was a way that I could keep it but also have it to look nice, I don't have a camera (don't really wanna put up a pic anyway cause I'm not so happy with how it looks) but if I can get a camera phone off a friend tommorow I'll put up a picture of it from the back (I like how it looks from the back strangely, haha)
I don't think I'll ever be sure which is the annoying thing
Believe me, even if you don't like your hair the way it is, if you cut your hair, you will regret it later. It is not fun to regret things. I suggest you wait and see.
Regardless
My MySpace - feel free to add me as a friend
Thanks, I'm thinking I'll wait until October maybe which I think will be my three year mark (or four I can't remember, but I think it will be three) and if it still looks like this we'll see, I like it long for so many reasons just visually I don't like how it's looking on me
What do you do in terms of conditioning? Perhaps it would help to go to a salon for a good deep conditioning treatment, if you're not doing that already. At the very least, finda good deep conditioning product you can use yourself once a week. Try that route and see how it works.

I just looked up google there to see what a deep conditioner is and it kind of confused me abit, I condition after every time I wash I leave it in for 10 or 15 minutes and then wash it out, I don't think that's what you're suggesting though, I don't ever use a hairdryer either if that's anything?
There are products usually called deep conditioning products at the store or a salon. If you go into a salon or a beauty supply store and tell them a deep conditioner, they should be able to direct you to the right product. It's something you use after shampooing and you usually leave it on for 20 minutes or more. The longer you leave it on, the better, unless you see some sort of specific instruction not to leave it on beyond a certain point. I've even put in deep conditioners before I go to bed and left them on all night. It's something you usually do once a week, but you can even do it more frequently than that, if it's something you want or need to do.
There are also hot oil treatments. (Neutrogena is one of many brands. I have used Neutrogena and I like it.) Hot oil treatments typically come in boxes that hold 2 vials of oil. You can use one or two per application, depending on how much hair you have. You heat the vial(s) which you then open and apply to wet (not washed) hair. You work it in and let it stand for at least the amount of time indicated on the package directions, but the longer the better. Then you shampoo it out.
I think you should. Every longhair should do it at least once, so he knows the value of his hair!
