I was fascinated with men who wore their hair long for most of my life, as early as elementary school. When I was a child, I always associated men with short hair or bald, and women with long hair. When I saw a man with his hair long, I got really interested. I do not remember the first time I saw men with long hair, but I noticed that the frequency of long-haired men that I have been seeing had been steadily increasing through the years.
Long-haired men became quite stimulating towards me starting in my middle school years. During my eighth grade school year in middle school, I was fascinated in Pokemon. It happened so that for the time being, the episode called "The Pika-huna" became my favorite episode simply because the cartoon character that appeared only in that episode, Victor, wore his hair long. Seeing him got me energized that I danced around for hours afterwards (it was on December 17, 1999). Just a week later, when I went to the usual family Christmas Eve party, I met up with a guy with long blonde hair, who I talked to for a little while. That was the only time I ever saw him and that was the only time a long-haired man came to any one of the Christmas Eve parties.
During my high school years, I attempted to grow out my hair, but my parents and my sister think I look better with my hair short and I would get a little upset every time I get a haircut. That was during the summer of 2002. Me growing out my hair now is actually my second attempt and this time, it is successful so far, apart from the unwanted trim in February, and the conditions looks pretty optimistic for me. I wanted to grow out my hair so I can be stimulating myself.
Although it takes me some doing to make friends and I can be pretty shy sometimes, I have an easier time making friends with long-haired men. I want to get to know you guys better.
Yes, I will continue to be fascinated with longhairs throughout my life.

Me too. Keep on keeping on bro.
Thanks for posting a bit of history on how longhair on men inspired you to grow out your own.You sound like a really nice guy and I can't see why anybody would not want to be your friend.Your story in some ways describes how I became interested in longhair on men.Back many moons ago with no internet all I had to go on was people I saw around me and the great metal bands of the 1980s that all had fabulous longhair:)You may remember awhile back I posted a series of pics of me from my early 20s to my current age in the mid 40s and how my hair progressed. It was fun to look back and see how my hair changed over the years but always remained long:)Thanks for posting your story and thanks for being part of the mlhh.Take care buddy!

Thanks for your feedback on my story, Mark. It was in 3rd or 4th grade in elementary school when I started seeing long-haired men. They stood out from the regular shorthairs and that made them stimulating. It was in 5th or 6th grade that I started really find long-haired men inspiring. I was in 8th grade in 1999-2000 when those aformentoned events happened. Today, longhairs inspire me more than ever.

Me too! Growing in the 60's there were many rock bands that led the way, but it wasn't until I hit junior high when long(or longer) hair was seen in school. There were only a very few kids that had really long hair and thats when I decided that was for me too. Of course I never got beyond shaggy due to pressure from my parents but I was happy and shaggy at least.
Good story, thanks for sharing,
Bruce
I only saw a handful of longhairs at my high school (absolutely none in elementary and middle school). It is the inspiration of other longhairs that lead me into wanting to grow out my hair myself.
