I was shopping at the local store when this man with a ponytail came to me and said:
"Damn hippie, get a hair-cut!"
All I could reply was "Thanks, you too!" Then he told me he had heart that phrase four times already this year!
Have any of you had the same experience when meeting a random longhair you never seen before? I thought it was really funny!
Haha your response was just fine. Whenever I encounter another longhair I give either a mutual headnod. Very nice story Mike!

Here in Switzerland, when I meet another longhair on the streets or in a mall or so, we usually just ignore each other. Very rarely we say hello, but that's usually it.
I am frequently in California and there it is completely different. Almost every longhair I see says at least hi or at least smiles at me...
Most often, when I get into a conversation because of my long hair, they ask whether I am a musician or not...
I've had long hair for 15 years, and this was the very first time a man started to talk about my hear. Very weird. Especially because here where I live it's not very common to speak with strangers...
But it was a nice experience!
I noticed that when I was in Swizterland, people just seem to ignore the long hair, because there are so many of them (at least in Geneva).
That's pobably true. Didn't think of that... In the past 2 or 3 years we have far more longhairs than ever, I think...
