These are some pictures of what I look like now, 18 months after I started growing out my hair. I would like a lot of replies, so please spread the word. For my previous update, the 17th month update, I only got 12 replies (against an average of double amount) and I was a bit disappointed.
The pictures are placed within this thread. The reason I did this is because of the dreaded "Posting Limit" notice. The pictures are small to save bandwidth.

lol..forgive me for my wacky humor.
Looking good man, your hair is coming along very nicely, and I like the ponytail picture,it suits you well. Now let's aim for another 18 months.Best wishes :).
Yes, I hope my hair will look better than it is now in the next 18 months (i.e. December 2009). I also can't wait to put my hair in a complete ponytail.

The bus riding part is not too important. It just so happened that the traffic was a little thicker than usual. What's important is that you can see what my hair looks like, not where the photo was taken. Yes, I am going to keep growing it out.

Will suit u better when it all goes into the ponytail mine u wearing the ponytail when its short usually makes the hair grow fast so esuring faster growth for it all to be tied back in the ponytail least way thats what happened when i wear my hair in the ponytail when it was 2 short for one but i only did this through health n safty at my works but of course now i work at a different place of employment but surprise surprise they have the same measures of health n safty to seems most companies of employment ave the same rules oh well

Looks great man. You are coming along quite well there. Ever think about getting a FREE Photobucket account? Makes things a lot easier.
Keep it growing.
Peace

I already have a Photobucket account. It is the "Posting Limit" issue I am having with this board. Sure, there are people who send in photos that take up a lot more bandwidth, yet it gets through, but not my photos.

Crop and resize to 4" in height before uploading to Photobucket. Keeping aspect ratio. Should work fine.
After looking at all the pics, I can say you're coming along good. Just don't cut it or trim it and you'll be fine. In doing so, you shall reach your goal with ease. But like I said, looks good.
Hegg
Thanks for the statement bro. I do not plan on trimming it anytime soon.

Looks great Matthew, you're coming along nicely! As far as a posting limit for pictures, I think that applies to a max size of 2 meg posted using the mlhh picture uploader. Pictures using html links to your photo account won't use this web sites band width, instead the link you post will direct the viewers computer to look elsewhere for those pictures. Of course large pictures will still take a long time to load for those with a slow connection so you should still be considerate of the size that you link to. I use Flickr and chose a medium sized picture option.
For as many as possible of our members to see your post it seems that midweek is a better time - sometimes. It's hard to say, timing is everything.
Keep on growin'

Hi Regardless,
Your hair is coming along great, and your curls are thick and healthy. Keep up the great growth!
Keep it growing,
David
Thanks. I will grow it out to at least mid-back.

If you Straightened your hair it would be longer
Sometimes, I do wish I have straighter hair. However, straightening my hair manually may run the risk of damaging my hair, so I rather not do it. Plus, when my hair gets long enough, it may straighten itself. I rather be natural.

Hi Regardless
Thanks for posting your update and please don't feel bad if you are unhappy by the number of responses as sometimes the board has light traffic and your thread might get pushed down.Once that happens people tend not to look at older threads.
Ok now onto your update.Obviously your have very wavy hair which will make it seem like your growth is slow until it gets long enough to be pulled down by its own weight.I in particular like the pic with your head tilted to the side as your hair looks very cool in that shot:)For 18 months you look to be right on target as far as normal growth.Just imagine what your hair will look like in the next 18 months. My mental image of that would indicate pretty awesome. So keep the faith my friend as we are all pulling for you here!Have a great weekend buddy and see ya soon:)
Mark
Thanks. Your statement is great. I plan to keep growing out my hair, down to mid-back. Yes, it seems like my hair is growing very slow at this time and it is only barely touching my shoulders. I regret the trim in February.

Do you want the feedback? Or are you just collecting as many replies as you can? >.>
Please give me a feedback about my hair. Thank you. Photos are on the bottom of the thread.

What possible relevance has the number of responses got? Is it some form of vanity competition you want win?
Please grow up.
This is not a contest. I just want plenty of comments about my hair. Please make an actual statement about my hair. Thank you.

Your hair is looking really good. I like the pony tail. It will look impressive in another year or so. Keep it growing.

Yes, I can't wait to see what my hair will look like in another year or so and I can't wait to see my hair in a complete ponytail.

All is looking great and appears to be right on target in length for the 1.5 year mark. You will be absolutely amazed at the changes from now on.........and for the better! :-)
Best of luck to you in continued long hair growth.
Thanks for your comment. I want to grow it out to mid-back.

Hope things are good over on your side of the state., Things are finally warming up on my side over here too! Take care and great pics. take care adn be safe
Thanks. I want to keep my hair growing, and I am sure it will look even better and neater when it is longer (I plan for mid-back). It is still cool and cloudy in the Seattle area, although the sun came out a little more, and it stopped raining. Things are going so-so for me.

Well my experience is that it get a bit easier to manage once it gets a bit longer. I had a trim yesterday! Ahhh Oh it was ok. She took off about 1 to 3 inches to even it all out and make it look good. It will grow back and needed it. Again hope your good, its a bit windy but sunny here today. Later!!
12 replies be thankful you got some replies guys or girls post here dont get any replies 12 better than none so happy u got some not disappointed i dont use my space no more to many nasty people on there
Axel
Well U will after refresh my memory due the fact Ive been away from the net for quite sometime in other words post a picture from the first time u started growing or when u had ur hair shorter as i will be unable to pass a comment to what i think u understand me ???
Axel
This is what I looked like before I started growing out my hair (about a year).
My MySpace
wow I can tell the difference its grow quite a bite in a year it very impressive
Axel
Hairs lookin great, you're starting to gain some good length!:D
But i have to agree with Axel, why should you be disappointed that you only got 12 replies, i reckon it may have to do with that you haven't been a member here for too long, as i seem to get more replies now than i did like half a year ago.
Hey Thanks Simon nice 2 see ya again
Axel
The same to you Axel, hope everything is going well?:)
Thanks for my statement. Since I have wavy hair, it makes my hair seem to not grow out much. I got a trim in February, and I kind of regret it now.

looks great! its getting long and is very healthy looking Matt!
Thanks bro. Your hair is healthy too, and it looks good. I hope you are doing good. Have fun in the UK, and take home a lot of pictures for me to see.
By the way, when I looked at my replies, there is one person that thinks I do not look good with my long hair.
Matthew

Looks good. I'm right behind you! My 18 month date is the 24th. I'm hoping to post my own pics then. The waviness looks good on you and will look even better as time goes on!
Well thanks Bill. We probably have started growing out my hair at around the same time. I do not remember the exact date I last had a haircut, so I have decided that January 2007 was the first month of growing out my hair, and that I do updates at around the middle of each month. If I do find the exact date of my last haircut (I keep a journal), then I will revise my updates. Otherwise, I will stick with what I decided.
Regardless
My MySpace - feel free to add me as a friend
My last documented date of a last haircut ((I used to get one every two weeks and would leave myself calendar reminders)) was Xmas Eve 2006, Dec 24th. That may or may not be the exact date but it's the one I'm going by. I did get a bit of a trim over the ears in March 07, which was right before I had decided to let all my hair grow out and not do the mullet look. So the hair over my ears is unfortunately about an inch behind the rest.
It is perfectly normal for your hair to be a bit shorter on your sides than your back. Your back hairs tend to go the farthest. Like you, I got a trim for my cousin's wedding in February, but even afterward, my ears were still completely covered. Like you, I am not interested in a mullet.

(1) I wouldn't worry about counting replys. This board can move really fast sometimes and I'm sure I'm not the only one that misses updates and can't reply to everything. Of course, having so many guys growing out their hair is a good thing. :-)
(2) Your hair is looking fabulous. The waves really give it style and fullness, though I know from personal experience that they can be a royal pain during the growing out process. It also doesn't help that an extra inch of hair doesn't translate into an inch downwards since you loose [the appearance of] length due to the waves. Stick it out, treat it right, and the next six to twelve months should really bring some nice milestones.
Mouse
Your statement is a good one. Thanks for your statements. Yes, my hair is wavy, but someone said that once my hair is grown out enough, gravity will pull my hair down, making my hair noticable longer and straighter. I plan to have mid-back hair and I am looking forward to having milestones that come my way in the future.
Regardless
My MySpace - feel free to add me as a friend
Your hair is coming along well, Matthew. It will look much better with added length. Wavy hair can be very difficult to grow out, but don't get frustrated. It is well worth it. Those waves will relax when your hair gains another 6 inches of length. Really long wavy hair looks spectacular. Keep growing it.
Scott
Thanks for the statement Scott. Yes, other people say the same thing about my hair getting straighter when it gets longer. That will be a relief for me, not only for stimulation, but also that it corrects itself after I move around a lot. I can't wait to look at myself with mid-back hair. I will look really stimulating then.
Regardless

Matthew you have good quality hair and as has been said it will look stunning when it gets really long. Keep up a good hair care routine and you'll do well but the awkward stage will be a pain and seem to take forever.
As for the negative comments disregard those. One can express ones opinion in a polite manner and those who can't will be dealt with by the moderators.
Take care
Kevin
Thanks for the statement Kevin. I can't wait to see myself with mid-back hair. I have wavy hair, so it is taking a long time to gain more length.

I think your hair looks great, 'regardless' of what some idiots may say. You are definately better suited to long hair than short hair - so keep it growing and enjoy it!!!
Regards Dave
Thanks Dave. I feel the same, that I am meant to have long hair. I am looking forward to mid-back length.
