I was walking my usual 5 miles tonight and some stupid a** redneck drives by and says im a long haired fag and then he said turn around again b*tch and i did and flipped him off haha!, and said what you gonna do?! what a f***ing dips*it for talking like that to me and i dont even know the guy! i hate when ppl talk trash just cause i choose to have long hair ha but o well, so how was your night folks :)
Because a lot of people are intolerant to anything they consider to be outside the norm. It isn't right, but it will probably never go away, unfortunately... :(
Oh well, **** em! :D
Don't worry about that, Mark.
Remember, I am your friend, and I really like guys with long hair. I support your hair and your growth, and I am sure you support mine and you know I will never do that to you or other long-haired men.
That's awful that someone you did not know said those things to you in person. Yes, I agree with the middle digit you gave him. I would do the same thing if someone said something horrible about my hair in front of me. Obviously, he is not your friend. When someone says stuff to you that you don't like, just walk away, fast. If you can't (i.e. at work), then just don't say hi or talk to that person.
As for me, people do make haircut jokes about my hair. They are annoying to me but they are not evil. Most people actually like my hair and the jokes do become funny after a while when I think about them.
Remember my recent 18 month update, when you read RAB's statements about my hair? Yes, they were negative, and, you probably did not know yet, he got banned from MLHH because of that. That was probably the only real negative thing someone told me about my hair.
My hair is my self-esteem. Having long hair makes me stimulating and keeps my self-esteem up. And it would hurt me if someone in person said something mean about my hair. It was mean for him to say it here, but in person, it would be even worse for me. Just don't cut your hair because someone told you to or because of the negative comments someone made. You will definitely regret it later if you do.
Hope you have a good trip, and please e-mail me the pictures when you come back. You have my e-mail address. Please let me know if you already lost it. And feel free to look at photos and blogs on MySpace. I had added some new photos and updated my blogs by the way.
I am always here to talk to you, when ever you need me. When another person say something bad about my hair, please tell me about it, and I will do the same thing, like I did when RAB said something about my hair.
Enjoy yourself and your hair.

Fight fire with fire, eh? Not a good idea as it yields negative results.
I agree an eye for an eye is not always a good idea. The world is full of assholes lowering yourself to their level just makes for one more.
Best advice I can give is develope a thick skin.
Kevin
Take solace in knowing this guy would say nothing to you if he was on his own outside of his car, these kinds of people are cowards and really you should just smile at their ignorance and know you are a better person, they can't be changed so just ignore it, I used to resort to violence and it made me feel better afterwards but I wasn't really teaching anyone a lesson, I mean if I teach one person a lesson on tolerance (and I wasn't even teaching them to tolerate longhairs really but I thought if they feared me they might think again before calling out another longhair) once a month that's not gonna make a differnece in the long term, also I've learned I shouldn't be violent unless to defend myself or my friends :)
The worst thing you did was lower yourself to their level, they got what they wanted. Those people hate what they cant be, and they hate you for your individuality and personal freedom. Deep down inside, those two men want that personal freedom that you have but they cannot have it, why? They are cowards and don't have what it takes to attain what you have. You my friend are the bigger man. Keep flying the freak flag!
If I may quote Bill
"wrestle with pigs and you'll both get muddy, only the pig will enjoy it".
Kevin
yea you guys are right i just should not say anything next time and keep on walking, i sholdnt resort to their level totally right about that, but ppl suck sometimes for sure! lol
Hi Mark. Did you read my message? Not only that, I just met a rude person at work today, that do not like to see me dance back and forth outside during break (and I had always danced back and forth at the work place during breaks since I started in November). I agree with the ignoring rule.

Don't make the mistake of thinking that comment had anything to do with you.
Usually people like that one only look for a reason to offend you. If he didn't see your hair he'd find something else to make a rude comment about.
In such situations usually the best choice is to walk away without saying anything to them. That man was in his car and probably didn't want to get out of it, but sometimes they even want to have a fight - which won't end up good for you in any case. If you stop and talk to them, you'll do exactly what they expect from you. So, I'd recommend you to walk away, and if they follow you, even run away!
Ignore them as they know not what they say!
Cheers,

The far right rustic fringe is feeling threatened, in the U.S. at least. They are afraid deep down that Barack Obama is going to win. On top of that there are all the weddings in California (yay!). The babbling loud-mouthed commentators on the AM radio have told them that liberal environmentalist wackos are to blame for $4 gas because we have prevented drilling for oil in the U.S. and they believe it all because they want to believe the Left are evil doers.
Plan on getting blamed for everything and hassled more and more by fat old guys with neck warts during the next 9 months or so.
