A little ways back John.B suggested that we should post our celebration pics of the solstice (summer/winter). Well here's mine.
Happy summer solstice from Key West!
Bruce
That's awesome brother. Wish I had someone to take mine.
Thanks!

Your hair is getting really long Bruce. It looks great.
A word of caution here: Monitor lizards and pythons should be kept far away from cockatoos to prevent a very costly mishap. You don't want the cockatoo becoming a $2000 meal for the snake or lizard. Large snakes (and lizards) eat birds in the wild.
Scott
Hahaha, that picture reminds me of Ace Ventura. Looks great, Scooper!
Hi Bruce,
Although I don't have any "solstice" photos to post, this is an awesome one you have posted. I have to admit that I would probably want to stay far away from those critters, especially that python, but I assume you know how to handle them!
Your hair is sure growing quickly, and you appear to be at your earlier goal of mid back length hair, and have gained back all the length from your earlier trim. Hopefully, there won't be any "obstacles" getting in the way of growing it a lot longer!
Keep it growing,
David
Cool "mini update" there, Bruce. Looks like you're having fun with the animals. I laughed when I read Absalom's post about snakes and lizards eating birds. :-)
Thanks for sharing,
Joshua
First let me say that that is a pretty neat photo!
If I ever took one like that I'll know I had had way too much to drink. Not a snake person unless I'm eating it.
Hey Bruce what a very cool pic there and it is so original.I don't think anyone here did an update quite like yours.LOL.Looks like you are having a great time at the Keys as I've never been as far as Key West.
As for your hair it looks great and is getting to be quite long.Glad you took the time out to check in with the board as its always nice to hear from you.Take care my friend and don't forget to feed the animals:)
Mark
...I opened that photo before my first cup of coffee.....scared me to death ! HA!
Summer Solstice here is 107 and clear...
Great pic Bruce and such a collection of animals. Anyone afraid of snakes? Not me.
Cheers,
John.
Great photo Bruce and your long hair is looking terrific! :-)
My "nightime" Solstice Pic. LOL
What time does the sun come up!
Whenever one can "Paw" their way through all the clouds and rain we get where I live. LOL
Cool. You have plenty of tropical animals. By the way, it did warm up to 83 in Seattle yesterday after being cloudy and cool for most of the month.
Regardless
My MySpace - feel free to add me as a friend
The current time just happens to be 11:50 here in the desert.....however if look at the top number in the photo, you will notice a nasty little "F" (as in Fahrenheit temperature). Gasp ! and this is the just first day of summer.......
Needless to say, a hairdryer is not an important weapon in my arsenal of haircare products ! HA!
Walter
Yikes! I guess we should tell the centigrade set that 115F = 46C ! Good you have that hat.
When hiking in the desert I often will soak my mane. The low humidity turns my head into an instant swamp cooler. It's incredible how cool that can make you, and if you soak your T-shirt too, it can feel like it is in the 70s! 45 minutes later it all will be bone dry, though, and the heat will return like a blast furnace.
We will have to get down to Death Valley to look you up sometime. It will NOT be in the summer. [grin]
Bill
Looks dangerous, but there is probably nothing to worry about.
