How can I grow a mullet like that? My hair is about 2inches long on top and maybe 3/4 in on the side. I started growing about a month and a half ago. DOes anyone have anysuggestions??

Why only grow the back and keep having to get maintenance cuts? Go all the way long.

I think Mullets are good looking, just tell your stylist what you want , you will need to get your hair styled at least every other month and they will shape it just right for you!!!! ENJOY IT
GO FOR IT!! I love Mullett/Shag kind of cuts - they are so hot on a guy - I'm currently growing my hair long for a more fem shag cut. Good Luck
Note that BR on Doc does not really have a mullet.
....plus some temporary headgear if you need to.
