I've read that brushing hair when it's wet is bad, because the hair is weaker... but it seems like for me that is the best time to brush it. Brushing it dry just makes it really puffy. When I brush wet, I don't feel any breakage; I brush it after a shower in which I condition my hair, so the brush goes through the hair very easily. It also makes my hair lay flat, instead of flipping around, and tames frizziness, and I find it impossible to part my hair when it's dry. Is this ok?
Thanks in advance.
Well, it is really easier to brush hair when wet, however, even if you feel no breakage, every stroke on wet hair, simply harms the indiviadual strands, even on recently conditioned hair. I can't brush my hair unless I straighten it with the hairdrier, but it is worth just to comb. Remember that with long hair, a lot of your hair is there for over a year or two. You need to treat your hair very carefuly. Try washing less, and it will make it more manageable.
INPUT FROM MIKE: I have shoulder length hair, I use a comb with wide
spaces between the teeth on the comb to brush my hair when it is wet.
I PhysicaLLy Need to brush my hair when it is wet, otherwise I let it dry anD It goes all stupid. I can't see any other way around this . If any 1 has any ideas please post them here.
Brushing it while it's wet warps the hair into erratic curls, in my experience.
