This has been bugging me for the last few weeks. Ever since I got a sunburn on my scalp (wasn't a bad one), I've been having pain in different parts on my scalp. At first it was near the back, under my origin, and now it's to the left of it. It hurts when I try and headbang (know that it DID NOT hurt at all before) and it's freaking me out.
Any explanations?
I understand that being a red-head means you are sensitive to the UV rays from the sun. Hopically, you will recover, but maybe you should talk to your doctor.
As for me, if I do get a sunburn, the pain only lasts a few days, and then my skin peels. Since my hair is brown, I have some resistance to the sun, but the sun in Seattle is not very strong, anyway.
I am concerned about you, but I will always be nice to you.

Sorry, but I'm not a red-head :]. The light was orangish, and I guess it's the way it hit my hair :].
I actually have a dirty blonde hair complexion.
Here you are again - another bad news story.
Go and see a DOCTOR. Their purpose is to advise and treat, you would not ask a stranger on a street about an illness so why ask on a web board?
You know, I try my best to make my problems sounds as POSITIVE, but when guys like you who assume I'm whining about nothing try and tell me everyone else's advice doesn't matter? I get pretty angry.
You should just quit your little deal with me being so negative, because I'm not. The reason I asked this board what I can do about my problem, is because I thought you guys could be helpful. I thought one of you might have past experience with something like this.
You're honestly starting to wear me down. I don't think I'm going to be staying here as a member long if you keep this up.
I got a sunburn on my scalp a few months ago. My scalp was red, and would hurt when I would headbang, much like you said. The pain and redness has since went away, but it took about a month. It;'s your choice whether or not you want to see a doctor, but if it's really got you worried, then why not.
Good advice from Dalena.
