I myself would never grow a length like that. It'd just draw attention and be annoying. But I have to admit, it is quite stunning. Where'd you get that picture anyways?

Her hair is incredible and appears to be at terminal length. It is probably a bit to deal with at such a great length. Mine reaches the crease of my knees and can be a bit of a hassle.

But that really looks interesting.
Even though she's a woman, her length is amazingly long. There is a problem with hair this long. Besides drawing attention, you can also get your hair stuck in doorways or other stuff and risk getting your hair ripped off. I had never even seen a woman with hair this long.

That is one of the reasons for braiding it or containing it by other means, such as a segmented ponytail. You can literally 'carry' the hair, and move it out of danger's way.
That is certainly an amazing length of hair and you don't see hair that long on many people. As like with alot of things the longer it gets the more used people are to dealing with it.
As our regular posters know and our friend "Uwe" posts, another great head of longhair that reaches to the floor is Danny Cecati from Eyefear in Australia. I asked him once when me met a few times how he copes it being that long as he it's not an issue and he just normally has help braiding it. Still an amazing sight on stage with the band.
So if you have good hair genes just let it grow.

Now I'm getting jealous! I thought I was the residential Asian longhair on this board! LOL, her mane puts mine to shame. Such length and thickness, it must have taken her whole life to have it grow down to the floor. I'm not even sure if I have the genes to grow my own mane to her length(my grandmother told me in her youth she grew her hair for ten years all the way down to her knees and she also braided it down like the woman Sam just showed us) so I would assume that my potential terminal length is also around knee length as well. But to have such an amazing floor length mane of hair for even one day would really make me feel like a magical being like the ones you hear about in legends. Again, what a beautiful mane on a beautiful woman.

Hi Eric, I don't want to burst your bubble but you are nearing terminal length now. Your hair tapers and thins considerably at your beltline. My estimate is that you are good for maybe 6 more inches of length, which would be about the middle of your butt. That is still quite long for sure. Your hair quality is fantastic. Asians have the best hair in the world when it comes to durability. It is almost as strong as steel wire (of the same diameter) and does not tangle as much either. This durability is why Asian hair is so highly prized by wig makers.
Hair on males tends to not grow quite as long women's hair due to testosterone. This hormone limits hair length and causes baldness in men. The reason my hair got so long (even though I am well over 50 tears old) is likely due to having low testosterone levels. Mine was 361 the last time it was checked. The reference range is 299 to 999, and I think that is nanograms per deciliter of blood.
Here is a closeup of the ends of my hair which is at terminal length. You can clearly see how it thins at the ends. My hair has been at this length for a few years now.

Damn, I really hope your wrong Absalom no offense! My ends look suspiciously like yours do...............so that probably translates to (1) my terminal length being somewhere close to the current length I have now or (2) I'm going to have a really sharp V-shaped fairytale looking form of classic length.
It would be a dream come true if for jsut one day, I had the knee-length mane my grandmother endearingly reminisces about. Alas, with this ominous warning I'm 99% sure that the maximum length I will achieve is bottom length.
Well the doctor of hair has spoken and it's like it is and nice to see a couple of new pics than the normal stock ones!

Don't forget that on average, women tend to be of smaller stature than men. So a 5ft 6 in female can reach floor length far more easily than a 6 ft 2 in male.

Amazing!
Not only is it long, but that braid is as thick as her forearms. There are a surprising number of asian women with tresses like that. Beautiful lady with beautiful hair for sure, and it can be managed with a few tricks and tips. People think that washing is the biggest chore, washing long hair is really quite easy, though. It is the brushing and detangling process that is most time consuming.
