Hi guys, here again with another update - 15 months!
Well not much change just a bit more growth int he past month, it's now starting to get really close to being able to pull off a full tail. I think I'll be able to by October actually, which will be great.
It's just passing chin length - last month I had just reached chin length when pulled and now it's grown about almost an inch since then (hooray for summer time fast growing!)oh and i also got my new snakebites piercings, heh.
Anyway here's a few pics. Will try to post some more later after work.
Very nice update man. Your hair looks great, very wavy and thick. It's definatly borderline of being official long-hair length and you'll be there by August I'm sure. Also that's a sick looking sculture you're working on, very cool.
-Phil
Thanks a lot! Yeah it's got some waves at the moment and a lot of flips... need for it to be longer so i can have some weight to straighten it out a bit heh.
Wow Alan great progress. I can see a huge progress from the last few months you've posted on here. Good job. I see your into dream theatre and such, im into death metal and black metal more of like the melodic sounding stuff. I also got into viking metal. Any other bands besides dream theatre are you into?
Peace

Thanks...
Some bands I like in no particular order:

Meshuggah
Amon Amarth
Kalmah
Kamelot

Three
and many more.
Your hair has grown quite a bit last month!
Nice piece of work you're making there.
Thanks a lot. :)

You have come a long way and your hair is looking great. I enjoyed your update showing not only your hair buy your wide variety of interests.
You little prehistoric buddy here needs to cut back on the trims though ! Ha!

Heh... thanks a lot! :)
You'll be in great shape in another 6-12 months, Alan. That wave is gonna be killer with your hair type and will look awesome. Keep it growing! =D
-James
Thanks a lot! heh I'm actually hoping that more length will diminish the wave / flips I have... not completely, but a bit calmer would be nice. :)
Alan, Great progress with your hair. Keep it growin n flowin!
peace, jonalbear
Hi Alan very cool update!
I have to say thats quite an interesting group of pics showing yourself doing the things that you enjoy. As for your hair it looks great so far and it will look even better as time goes on as long as you avoid trims. So just let your hair grow and you will reach your goal in no time.As for the studs quite interesting as I've never seen them done quite like that.Hey it just compliments your look:)
Well anyway thanks for the update and do keep us posted on your progress.Nice Mac too!Take care my friend.
Mark
Heh thanks a lot! and yeah I'm avoiding ANY trims right now until my hair is atleast long enough to tie in a tail. Th eonly trim I'll be getting after that is to even out the length.
Your length is very similar to my length. My hair is just about chin-length, but I still have yet to put my hair in a full ponytail. I had been growing my hair out for 18 months but a trim set my hair back a bit a bit in February. The trim was for my cousin's wedding, and after the wedding was over, I regretted the trim.
Regardless

Your hair is coming along very nicely, you'll be a longhair before you know it.The sculpture you're making looks really cool,is it suppose to be an alien or something?Peace up :).
Thanks a lot. It's a demon concept design I was working on.
Here's some more of it:
That looks great man, you're very talented at sculpting,as for me I just draw with pencil XD.
love your hair! actually mine is pretty much the same lol, except shorter. I wanted to ask you, what did you do to keep your hair a little managable durring your last 10 months? reason I ask is because mine is just like yours except it flips pretty badly, and the hair in the back really goes crazy, I cant control it. and I hate the way gel makes the hair look, in the beginning its nice because I can manage it but a few hours later it just looks extremely bad.
Thanks!
During the awkward stage my hair went through many stages, infact it's still in the awkward stage.
My hair is a mix of a bit wavy and straight so it depends ont he stages. For example for the first 5 months i was growing it from almost a shaved head, it was relatively straight
, however during those months my hair was wild and flipped alot too on the sides, so I usually covered it with a hat. After 6 months to about 9 months I just kinda tried differnet ways of styling it. From then onto now I usually keep it tucked behind my ears and at the moment it still flips out a lto as it doesn't have to much weight. Once I'm through with the awkward stage and my hair has enough length and weight it will be a lot straighter. Last time I had my hair long a few years back everyone thought I had dead straight hair. So it ranges from there. I usually just say I have straight/wavy hair. :)
Cool update Alan. Is it me or do you have more piercings? Also I like the model your working on can you do a three foot high version for my front yard. We're going to do a medieval / gothic mishmash theme for the front of our house with Wizzards, Dragons, and Gargoyles. You know something different than your boring bird bath and pink Flamingo...
....LOL
Post a pic when you finish it.
Kevin
I continue to be amazed by your progress, Alan. You look really great.
