Hi everybody! I used to read a lot and post once in while for the past few months.
Now I think it is time to post a few pics of myself so that I am not so anonymous any more.
I also hope to get some comments from you about my hair. I am very happy with the length of it (it still seems to be growing) and I am happy again with the health of my hair since I changed a lot about how I take care of it around a year ago.
What I don't like about my hair is its wavyness. Nothing against wavy hair but I don't have nice wavy strands like some others of you have. Instead, each individual hair seems to have it's own individual waves. It's even worse when I blow dry my hair but usually I just let it air dry anyway.
I wish you all a nice day!

Great Mane Tom!! and Welcome!
Waves are great, learn to love 'em!! You know people with dead straight hair would love to have them.
Cheers Dave
Thank you! I'm working on it :)
Cheers, Tom
Hi Tom,
My hair does the same thing although not to the extent yours does. I don't mind mine doing that as my hair is very fine and the tiny bit of wavyness makes it look thicker.
Your mane looks great though, Good to see you join the users directory.
Take Care
Kevin
Hi Kevin,
Thank you for the nice welcome. It'just that my hair always looks kinda messy and I'd just prefer real think hair down to the ends. But in general I am quite happy with it :)
Cheers, Tom
Welcome Tom, Great hair. Wonderful length. Gotta just get used to what Leaf and Star gave us bro.
Thank you. You're right, there are others long hair lovers who are not able to wear their hair that long, for some reason or some other...
Hi Tom!
Thank you for being a part of the mlhh as its great having you on board here:)I definately remember seeing you post fairly often but now we finally get to see you and your hair.Well I have to say you have very unique hair as I really like it!In spite of your complaint about the waviness I think it looks really cool as its unlike no others here that I can recall.I guess we are our own worst critics when it comes to our appearance.I commend you on your dedication to being a longhair and now you are an official part of this community.Great pics btw and let me pic this as my favorite if I may:)Take care my friend and please do drop by often.
Mark
Hi Mark,
Thank you very much for your kind words! I am happy to be a longhair and I'm glad I found this community which seems to be very openminded and friendly to all of its members.
I took that pic on a late sunday morning shortly after taking a shower and letting my hair dry in the air. I think my t-shirt was still wet at that time :)
And yes, I think I really am my worst critic. I should try to remember that more often...

Welcome to the board Tom!
Awesome hair you have there, it's very POWER METAL and reminds me of the singer from Dragonforce's hair (love 'em or hate 'em, they have awesome hair lol). We all have something about our hair that we're not crazy about, whether it be color, texture, or manageability. Your hair looks fantastic and the waves are great.
Always great to hear from our long hair friends from accross the ocean; thanks for sharing.
-Phil
Thanks Phil, for that really flattering comparison!
You're right, probably no one is completely happy about his appearance and I just tried to point out the one thing I dislike most (maybe I was hoping for some miraculous hints :)). But hey, thanks for your compliments!
Unfortunately there aren't that many longhairs from my side of the ocean with MLHH, but it's great to see people from that many nations with the same interests on here.

i was gonna comment on the dragonforce hair i want herman li's hair your hair looks great
thanks
Yes Dragonfarce certainly do have amazing hair.
Imagine this, Bloodstock 5 years ago backstage. We asked Herman Li to stand back to back with Danny Cecati and Dannys hair was alot longer. Poor Herman didn't see the funny and walked off. It was interesting to see.
Cheers,

I also have wavy hair, and it is now just touching my shoulders. My dad said that since my hair is wavy, it is going to grow outwards, not down, and that kind of bothered me. Your hair, still looks nice since it is going down still. It is true that it is a little more difficult to manage wavy or curly hair.
Regardless
My MySpace - feel free to add me as a friend
Yes, wavy or curly hair can be more difficult to manage compared to very straight hair because it can get tangeled much easier especially when the wind blows thru your hair. It can become almost unmanagebla when you have frizzy and split ends. For me it's absolutely necessary to use conditioner after shampooing.
But don't be afraid, this usually only happens with very long hair (or if you mistreat it). Btw, in a few months your hair will be long enough to hang down and not to grow outwards anymore.

Welcome indeed, good to have you here!
Eric H.
thank you!

Hi Tom,
Thank you for sharing with us these photos of your hair, and in my opinion, it looks great! You have achieved excellent length, and remember that everyone's hair is different. Be sure to keep it growing.
Take care,
David
David, sure I will! Thank you.

Greetings Tom. You have good length, but the frizzy texture makes your hair appear to be shorter than it actually is. You may be able to tame the frizz a bit with jojoba oil. A small percentage of my hair is frizzy and it helps me.
Scott
Hi Scott. I will try it. Until now I sometimes used almond oil with some success.
Thanks for your hint!

Welcome! glad your here. Hope your doing well and great pics or you and your hair. Take care
Thanks! --Tom
What you might want to try to make the waves coalesce together is try some type of leave in conditioner or gel while your hair is wet before it dries. If I don't do something like this I end up with the "each strand having its own agenda" look too.
MB
I think I'm gonna try that. Until now I am using a very liquid leave-in conditioner (Infusium 23) which does not coalesce hairs together (but prevents damages and spliss). Maybe I should try something creamier. What are you using?
--Tom
Sometimes I use Graham Webb Silk Protein Leave In Conditioner, sometimes, L'Oreal Melting gel, sometimes I just use regular hair conditioner that one would normally rinse out in place of a leave in. It works the same for me. The regular conditioners I use are Suave or generic Paul Mitchell Tea Tree conditioner.
Welcome Tom!! I hear what your saying about the waviness. Try a little leave-in conditioner. I use Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine. I don't have as much waviness but my problem is the short hair frizzes. It does seem to help a bit. Congrats on achieving such a great length!
Bruce
Hi Bruce. Thank you, I will try. I am using a good liquid leave-in conditioner but I will try a creamier one. Hopefully it helps.
