Hi guys finally I get the opportunity to start my own new thread:)Well I've been off this week from work on a mini vacation even though I didn't travel too far from home this time.I had the opportunity to meet an mlhh user who also has been on vacation but he traveled from the beautiful state of CA to New Jersey. His name is Max and we met yesterday in NYC and took a long walk around town mainly in Central Park.It was quite hot and humid that day but we both held up rather well.Max is an outstanding person as I was honored to meet him:)He has been absent from the board the last month due to no internet access but he has really enjoyed being a part of this community.I had a couple pics taken which I'll share with you all here.As always comments are welcome and please be nice:)Ok so the first one is of Max and myself at the northern tip of the large reservoir located in the middle of the park.
Heres another pic within the park that I thought looked cool.Thank you all for looking and have a great day all you longhairs:)
Mark
Oh cool! I've only been to Central Park in the Winter.
Hi Steve
Yea the park is so much different in the summer than it is during wintertime.I've been to it during both seasons and have to say its an awesome bit of real estate.Someday if you find your way back east to remember the good old days you should definately swing by the city again.Hope your having a great day out west my friend:)
Mark
Cool pics Mark,
I remember Max's last update where he had some photos of him next to the redwoods. You guys look like you had a great day/great weather to tour the CA area. The waterfront photo is fantastic as well. Your mane looks great as usual, it's a shame Max had his cap on because he also has a killer mane. Mark we should seriously consider planning a NJ/NY area meetup sometime before the summer is out.
Thanks for sharing and good to hear from you.
-Phil
Hey Phil thanks for your comments:) I think though that you are under the impression that I'm out in California as we were in New York City yesterday.I'm sorry if I gave that wrong impression. As you know the weather here in the east has been quite beastly!LOL.Fortunately tomorrow will be more comfortable.
Hey Phil if you want to meet I'm all for it!Just drop me a note and we can set something up.As I recall you are not that far from me so it would be easy to do.Thanks again for your kind words and hope to hear from you my friend:)
Mark
OHHH OK, I just remember you had been out in CA not too long ago so I figured you got those pics from there. Yes the weather has been beastly indeed. Fortunatly I'm off on a 4-day weekend after today and the weather looks good for that. Yea I'll definatly be in touch with you about a meetup. We can see if there's anyone else in this area on the board who might be interested when we figure something out; either way I'm definatly down for it! Take care Mark.
-Phil
Hey Phil, no sweat as actually I wish I was out west right about now.LOL.Yea I've been off work all week so I'm enjoying the time off for sure.Well since your long weekend starts after today you'll be lucky and have nicer weather for it.Anyway thanks for your comments and look forward to a meetup:)
Mark
Hey Hairball, these are some great pictures. I sent you a personal message please respond back. Thanks!
Hi Eric
Yes I did get your note even though I found it in the spam file for whatever reason. Thanks for taking the time to write and when I get the chance I can drop you a line.I'm not from the city myself but I live close enough that I can take the train in when I get the urge.Take care buddy:)
Mark
Nice shot :)
One of my goals since moving to the east coast has been to make it up to New York and spend a day or three playing tourist. You seen NY in so many movies/TV shows I figured I just had to see it for myself. Almost five years later, and it's still a goal, LOL. But what the heck, took me longer than that to make it to the Grand Canyon when I lived in southern Arizona....
Regards,
Jim
Hi Jim thanks for the great response.Yea its so weird that you can live so close to a major tourist attraction and never get to it yourself.I actually made my first trip ever to Arizona last July around this same time and man was it ever hot!LOL.It was great to visit the Pheonix area and get the chance to see what the area was like.I did get to see the fireworks at Tempe last summer which was very cool.
You should make an effort to see New York as its just a fantastic place to see especially for the first time.Believe me you'll need more than three days if you want to see alot though.Anyway thanks for your comment and hope your keeping as cool as possible there my friend:)
Mark
The last three times I've been back to Phoenix have all been in the summer months. I keep joking that I go back when it's so hot to remind myself of why I don't live in deserts anymore, LOL
Hi Mark,
Thank you for sharing these wonderful pictures of the two of you, and you both look great, and excellent hair on both of you. (As far as I can see in the photo, it seems that Max's hair is a lot longer than last time I saw it.) I am glad that you had such a great time!
I have never visited NYC myself, although I will be passing by your city in September, as part of a small road trip to Pensylvania. Perhaps we can get together at that time, and that would be cool!
Take care,
David
Hey David thanks for your reply. It was great to set up this meet with Max as he will be going back to California on Monday so the clock was definately ticking!LOL.I gave him the best encouragement I could to keep the faith with his hair as it does look outstanding and I encouraged him to just let it grow.I even took him to a local drug store and helped him pick out a conditioner:)Max is a great addition to the mlhh as he has enjoyed his time here so far.
When September rolls around we should set up something when you are in the area. That would be a great honor to meet you in person.Just keep me posted on what your travel plans are and we'll take it from there.Take care my friend and savor that retirement you lucky guy:)
Mark
Great pics there Mark and it's always wonderful to see members of the community meeting up.
Cheers,
John.B
Hi there John!
Yes I do like doing meetups whenever its feasable. To date I would have to say I've personally met seven mlhh users at a quick head count.Hopefully I add to that number as I've never been disappointed with any. Thanks for your reply and glad you enjoyed the pics I posted.Take care and be well my friend.Cheers,
Mark
Hey Mark, I get to NYC once in a while. Next time I visit I'll let you know and perhaps we can meet.
Thanks for sharing the pics you and Max took yesterday.
Karsten
Hi Karsten,
Thanks for your kind words and by all means try and get to the city and we can meet.As you know there is nothing like life in the city as it does seem to have its own personality.
Its funny as when we were walking through Central Park I joked that I'd like to lay on the rocks or one of the monuments there with my hair hanging so I can do a Karsten original!LOL.However the local police might not have a sense of humor since some of these areas are fenced off.It was cool as I thought of you at that moment:)Anyway be well my friend and have fun in the upper part of New York:)
Mark
Hey Mark
So great that you had the opportunity to meet another longhair from the MLHH. Sure bet that made your day. If there is one thing I have noted about the longhair, it is that they are FAR from being dull, boring or a zombie. No way!
Thanks for sharing this posting with all of us Mark and thank you for always just being yourself. You are truly a great asset to our wonderful Hyperboard and always have been a source of the greatest inspiration.
Take care-
Justin~
Hi Justin!
Hey I knew I'd find you in this reply list somewhere!LOL.It was fun to meet Max as we spotted each other right away as I waited for him outside the bus terminal.Being longhairs that did make it much easier.During my day in the city I did spot quite a few fine longhairs:)Hmmmmm just does body good!LOL.Mostly we walked around the park and by the end of our time together I think we both were quite spent.Fortunately we are both in good physical shape so even the heat and humidity couldn't slow down us longhairs.
Oh and I did read you note you sent to me and if you'd like to forward some pics go right ahead.I'm glad that your gym workout has been helping your condition and that you finally got that issue behind you and are now getting properly taken care of.Its great to hear that you've lost those extra pounds and are getting back to your young self:)Be well Justin and keep the faith.Talk to you again soon.
Mark
hey there Markie-babes, great picture of you and Max, I'm glad he is ok and still growing that mane. What a lovely couple of fellows you are!!
Our summer over here is wet, cool and windy . . . again.
Cheers buddy, Dave
HEYYYYYYYY DAVIEEEEEEEEE!
Now hows that for the intro!LOL.Glad you liked the pics of Max and myself as his mane is looking quite nice to date.I know he's a bit self conscious about his hair but I told him he looks fantastic and to stick with it.We even shopped for conditioner while in the city and I recommended an olive oil hair lotion that I use which he did buy.See how fun it is for longhairs to meet and then they shop for hair product together:)LOL.Well I'm only trying to help the newbie longhairs get on their feet sort of.
Sorry to hear about the weather by you as maybe I should stop complaining about our heat and humidity.Oh well its summer so what do you expect.Take care my friend Davieeeeee and stay dry.CHEERS:)
Mark
It was fun you met up with another longhair. The photo would be better if no one was wearing hats (which covers up the masterpiece). Even in Seattle, a lot of days had been quite warm lately. I hope to meet up with another MLHH user eventually.
Regardless
My MySpace - feel free to add me as a friend
Hi Regardless,
LOL, hey I like that!Longhair is a "Masterpiece".You are so right my friend as I wish I thought of that one.Five gold stars for you today on that one:) Yea I never thought to have Max remove his hat for the pic as the nice lady who took it did a great job.I wish my hair showed off better too but it was a quick grab a photographer off the street and take a photo instant.I'll try and do better next time.
Hopefully your dream of meeting an mlhh longhair will come true as I'm sure Seattle is full of them.Take care buddy and keep up with your own longhaired dream.
Mark
looks like the weather was perfect that day. Glad you had the chance for a meet up.
Kevin
Hi Kevin,
Well the weather might have looked nice in the pic but man was it sticky!LOL.It definately was a shower night after I got home as I just felt all sweaty. It was great to get an opportunity to meet Max and to this day I feel bad I missed you out in CA this past April by what amounted to a couple weeks.Well never say never as theres always next time.Take care and be well our longhaired leader:)
Mark
Both of you are looking good. Hope you had a good time. Keep growing those manes.
Scott
Hi Scott
Thanks for your input as I and Max certainly appreciate it especially coming from the longhaired king!If it were just a bit cooler and drier it would have been a perfect weather day but being with a cool longhair made that a moot point.I certainly hope to meet you on my next CA trip for sure so no excuses!LOL.Take care my friend:)
Mark
Looks like you guys had a nice time and so fortunate that you got to meet up and spend the day trapsing around NYC.
Great photo....both of you look great.
Glad you had a good visit and thanks for sharing the photos )The last time I was in Central Park was before you guys were born ! HA!
