Darn! The headband that has become so much a part of my own individual look has been lost for a month. And alas, the local bead shop that I used to buy this genuine leather from to make one no longer sells this leather, only cheap imitation plastic. Well, no imitations, extensions or whatever for me as I have REAL long hair of just below belt length. So what to do? Try something new.
A genuine Antique Brass Coin (from China) with Dragon decor is now used as a Pendant that hangs from a string of highly polished stones of "precious" origin which I just made. But as I gaze at this photo (taken today), I pause and almost wonder........."who I am," as the former look I was so used to is no more. But then on the other hand I rather like this new look. (Until I find a source of the leather again.)
Is there a point to all of this? Perhaps. Just about anything goes when it comes to having long hair and can look well. Long Hair is so to enjoy and natural to the Human Race. This is what Nature deemed fit that we should have. If not, we would have been born with a pair of sissors.
In the meantime, wishing all of you who visit this board and growing out your hair the best of luck as well as enjoying a great Summer.
Justin~
Sorry to hear you've lost your headband, Justin. I hate when something like that happens! I hope you end up finding it soon, it looks good on you. That antique brass coin looks pretty neat, especially on the neclace of "precious" originated stones you made. Keep it growing, my friend.

Hey Justin!
Hey you look so totally different in this pic than the many from the past.Thats a really great necklace you made yourself as I really like it:)Actually I like your new look rather well as sometimes you need to touch up your appearance from time to time as long as you leave the hair alone!Of course growing it longer certainly is permissible. On the whole great job my friend as you look cool.Looks like a nice sunny day as well by you as we've been lacking that for a bit. Thanks so much for posting the new you:)

You look good, even without your headband. I prefer seeing the hair on long-haired men plainly, in fact. Keep your hair long Justin.
Regardless

Hi Justin,
Thank you for sharing this photo, and I agree that there are many ways to wear long hair. This is such a cool coin, and I wonder how old it is!
Of course I wish you all the best this summer, and may you be blessed with perfect weather and good health.
Take care,
David
I don't know if you guys have craft stores like Hobby Lobby or Michael's out there where you live, but they sell all those sorts of craft items to make jewelry and such, like the leather strips and cords, etc. I bet you could find a leather shoe string too that would be just like what you had. Some shoes still come with leather strings instead of some synthetic material. Cool necklace too.
I get what you're saying here but I wonder what a guy who is altogether bald on top, as a result of his nature, by nature's hand, his genetics, would say to this? HAHA!

Well said Justin and your looking in top form. I can only hope I look that good at 103. I'd settle for looking that good at 43 actually. The fact that you have so few gray hairs even in your beard I find maddening.
The new look works for you and never to late to change ones style.
Kevin
Wow could always lend some to Justin!
Excellent taste Justin, that is a really cool look, the beads look great on a longhair. I have one of those coins that was given to me while I was in China a few years ago, as in their culture I am a 'Fire Horse' which apparently is very rare, so I was treated very well indeed.
Take care Justin, Lookin' brilliant!

Hi Justin,
Well look at you aren't you the one to look at this season!
I'll have to get some new accessories when I visit Wacken later this month.
The Jones's have to keep with the posh crocks in Portland!
Cheers,

Hey Justin. I understand your feelings. I seem to go through some manner of style/look change every so often, and after a few weeks of adopting a new look I always feel befuddled and confused as to how I arrived at the decision to sport said look, even if I enjoy it.
I probably think about it way too much some days, and lately I've tried to just focus on other things. One thing is for sure, I definitely want to keep growing the hair. Long hair never looks out of place as far as I'm concerned.
Peace,
Ryan
