Hello all,
Decided to post a couple days early, as what I had originally planned for the update wasn't really having any effects. I tried to lighten my hair (as mentioned in a previous post), but after several washings with a lemon juice and chamomile tea compound, the only results were that my hair became slightly redder (just a shade or two lighter). Even so, I've been conditioning deeply after every wash, as to avoid any damage, as well as using the good ol' jojoba oil.
Anyways, it's been 26 months so far, so here's what I have to show...
Look into my eyes...
Slowly getting there...
The fluffy ponytail...
And my favorite style... =D
A short update this month, but at least a couple of the remaining updates this year will be quite interesting. I won't say where or when they'll be taken, but they will rival one of my previous ones from last year. Stay tuned... =)

My Progress Site
Okay, I was just there and your hair looks much thicker now, what gives? Not to mention longer! It looks great and shiny as always!
-Austin
It's been a couple weeks, since you've seen me. Maybe I had a growth spurt since then? ;)
-James
Superb! As always, your hair looks fantastic each day it progresses. Your hair's current length looks great for 26 months. You're 3 months ahead of me, haha. I've never tried your favorite style before, it looks good. Sorry to hear your plan didn't go as expected, I cant see much of the red if at all. Keep it growing, James.
Hegg
Thanks, Hegg. The lighting wasn't exactly the best for these photos (and my camera is starting to suck), but that's ok. Hope your growth is coming along well. See ya around, Hegg. =)
-James
Boy, have you ever come a long way in 26 months James. That mane of yours is without a doubt something I can't see how you could not but love and cherish. Just fabulous! Great update, fantasic long hair if there ever was!
Justin~
Hey, thanks a lot, Justin. I'm just doing my thing, I guess... Glad I can be a source of inspiration to some. =)

Mark
Heh... I always get a kick out of your responses, Mark. Thanks for the compliments. Hope all is well for you out east. =)

Hi James. Your hair looks pretty nice, and I noticed it is only roughly three inches or so longer than mine. I like the waves in your hair, although mine is a bit wavier. Just keep it growing. I expect my hair to reach your length by the end of October. By the way, I assume you have been quite busy lately.
Regardless
My MySpace
Hey there... Yes, I've been quite busy lately with work and whatnot. When I'm home, I'm usually resting, as I have to get up so early for work (usually 4am). Anyways, thanks for the compliments, and see you around. =)
-James
By the way James, I hope you will stick around for my 19th month update on my hair coming in another week or so.
Regardless

Thanks a lot, Brian. It's nice to know that I've helped at least one person on their way to long hair, as well. Keep it growing, and see you around the board... =)
-James
Your mane is looking lovely, James. Your hair seems quite thick and you are getting good length too. I will look forward to your updates.
Scott
As always, thanks a bunch, Scott! I realized that I accidentally called you Bill in my response to your poppies post, and I have no idea why. I think I saw a post by Bill right before typing and it just registered that way. Who knows... At any rate, thank you for the compliments, and hope you are doing well! =)
-James
Hi James.
It is always a pleasure to get an update from you, and you have been a real inspiration to everyone on the hyperboard with your regular progress photos. (One of these days, I need to get cracking and post an update of my own) Your hair just keeps getting better, so thick and healthy, and I can only imagine how it will look when you reach your waist length goal.
Take care,
David
Hey David! Thanks for the compliments, man. I look forward to your update, and I hope you're doing well lately. Keep it growing! =)
-James
Hey James,
Your hair has grown a long way since I've been here! I think it is suiting you more and more with the extra length. I notice the difference in the colour of your hair, but like you say the difference is not dramatic, I think it looks good actually : )
Keep it growing James
Neil
Hey, thanks a lot, Neil! It has grown quite a bit, yet the time has flown by. The color actually turned out better than how I had planned, as it isn't so drastic -- just a slight shade of red lighter. Anyways, thanks again for the compliments, and I hope you are doing well. =)
-James
Hi James,
Your hair is looking great these days. I like the lighter color that you've acheived too. Lemon juice does definitely have a lightening effect. I tried that once long ago and ended up with more reddish tones just as you have now. They used to say if you got out in the sun with lemon juice on your hair that this would speed and increase the lightening effect too. I don't think it's much damaging either. What's interesting is that if one has a certain dark color that lemon juice lightening brings out the red where as a natural color a few shades lighter lightened turns out blond.
MB
Thanks, Matt. I can't imagine you with redder hair, but there are some things that just have to be seen to believe. At any rate, I appreciate the compliments. Hope you're doing well! =)
-James
Looking great James! you have a great natural color I'd go with that! keep it growin n flowin!!
peace, jonalbear
Thanks, Jonalbear. I plan to keep it this way for now. Hope all is well! =)
-James
Your hairs getting some good length to it. Your hair looks pretty long for 26 months. Keep growing.
Thanks a lot, Garth. Your hair looks really awesome, too! Keep it growing, man. =)
-James
Hi James,
Always a wonderful pleasure to see your updates.
You can certainly tell that the lemon treatment has certainly worked a treat. Apart from the last couple of weeks we're not had the wonderful so called "UK summer" so that our hair does lighten, so it must be that jet stream in the wrong place again!
Cheers,
John.B
Eh, it can't always be cool, I guess. Anyways, it did work well. Thanks for the compliments, John. Stay well! =)
-James
What a difference from the begining! Congratulations James. Tá ficando lindo!!
Muito obrigado, Walter! It's like another world that I had short hair. Time has passed by so quickly, though. Stay well! =)
-James
Wow, great length there james. You know all of those styles really suit you, the tail is particularly neat. Congratulations!!
Regards, Dave
Thank you very much, Dave! I'm looking forward to your next update! =D
-James
I'm partial to the halftail as well. Looking forward to upcoming updates from exotic places!
Mouse
Hey, thanks a lot, Mouse! I'm looking forward to them, too! =D
-James
Hi James,
Very nice hair, indeed! Your hair looks like it had been bleached by the sun more than by the lemon/camomille mixture because the top layers are much brighter than the lower layers. It looks very natural!
Have fun,
Tom
Hey, thanks, Tom! The color difference can likely be explained by the fact that I walked in a couple parades last Friday (Independence Day), which was a VERY sunny and hot day, and had my hair tied back the entire time. I'm sure that helped quite a bit.
-James
Your is lookin' excellent James! Yes, your hair does look a shade or two lighter! Your upcoming update sound fasinating! I'll venture a guess... Tahiti? Belize?
Well I guess I'll just have to wait and see.
Bruce
Thanks, Bruce! I cannot divulge the locations quite yet, as that's part of the fun with these updates, but I do have my tickets booked. I'll just say that October's update will be the biggest yet. ;)
-James
That is an awful lot of hair for just a little over two years....I really like the clip you are using for that impressive ponytail. It gives a braided effect
Thanks for sharing
Walter
Thanks, Walter! I got that clip in a hair toy gift pack for Christmas, and have worn it a lot ever since. It's definitely my favorite! =D
-James
