Well just to keep you up to date with the interview.
First of all, they told me they want me in. Apparently I am exactly what they are looking for.
They pay check is not that but not that thin either, actually the amount I was expecting for my experience level (I have none).
Anyway, I went to the office of the Human resources manager, she wanted to talk with me.
To make a long story short, she basically asked me if I was growing my hair just for fun or if It was something more personal, and if I would be willing to cut it.
I said to her that I believe I can look professional without having to cut my hair and that I wouldn't feel comfortable cutting it, since I am growing it for "personal reasons" as I told her.
She told me that basically they put that hair rule thing because some people where going dressed inappropriately to the office (pant warming cleavage, or people wearing jeans with holes, etc) I told her is that I agreed with them, putting those codes and that it is completely understandable. I've been to the human resources department about three times, and all of them I've been wearing some clean nice pants and a long sleeved shirt (Since this is a tropical island in the middle of the world for about 90% of the jobs that is OK). The last thing she asked me was if I usually wear it in a ponytail or loose. I told her "I wear it in a ponytail, I understand this is an office."
She told me that they would ponder things and let me know, but that those rules are really not like a bible.
I thanked her, said good bye. And asked her If I should close the door behind me, she said no leave it open please, but thank you.
I await their move now, If they ask me for a hair cut, I'll have to ask them for the door, even though they offer some REALLY good benefits. And yes, I am that serious about my hair.
P.S. That pic is me just waking up after properly hydrating my hair the night before.
Looks like its going good so far, and they seem relatively understanding. I'm happy you're taking a stand on it :)
Let's hope this pans out well, so good luck!
I believe you did very well!
Good luck!

Thanks for the update and that does sound encouraging and also you have discussed their dress code policy. So that they can see you understand the code and I'm sure your positive and open approach will be helpful.
We'll keep our fingers crossed and hope it's encouraging news soon.
Cheers,
John.B

Sounds like you are doing it right. Respectful, intelligently and firm.
Hi Nelo,
I would be surprised that, after this discussion, you wouldn't be employed. It seems you managed perfectly.
Nice hair by the way, I didn't realize that it was so curly and voluminous :)
Bye
Vivien
They sounded very fair about it, good luck!
