Hey guys!
Well July has rolled around and that marks the two year point for me. It’s so strange to think that just a couple summers ago I was running around with a buzz cut, and now I can put all of my hair in a tail. :-)

The tail! I’m really happy with the increase in length over the last year.
Sorry for the quality on this one (the camera was nearly out of batteries). It was taken in late May. I don’t dress up very often, and I just had to get a picture of the braids a friend put in my hair.

Great update Mouse, you have achieved good length for two years, and the colour, body and texture all say 'healthy' to me. I must say you should dress up more because you look fantastic with the braid.

Thanks David! As always you are so supportive on the board. I definitely have thicker than average hair, but I'm always blown away by my mom's. Her's is even thicker!

You are very blessed with your hair indeed! I have a friend, with a lighter shade of orange, who has hair of the same thickness as your except straight. He grows at about an inch per month :].

Alas, I only grow at a half an inch per month, but I'll take it.

Hi Mouse. Your hair looks nice. I wish my hair is long enough for me to put in a complete ponytail. It was thanks to the trim in February that even after 18 months, my hair is still too short to put in a ponytail.

Are you seriously at two years already?! Damn... Your hair looks excellent, Mouse! I really like the braid in the last pic. Looks like the Minnesota summer has taken its effect on your skin color, though... ouch! Oh well... Keep it growing! =)

Yeah, I work hard to keep from getting burned in the summer, but it happens sometimes anyway. And I always have a bit of a rudy complexion anyhow since I have really mild rosacea. Such is life!

Thanks for the complements, Mark! Realistically, I can't know what the future will bring, but I have no intentions of going back to the buzz cut. After patiently waiting for so long for all of my hair to be in a tail, I doubt I'd ever cut it shorter than shoulder-length. And at the moment, I'm going for more length.

You know, I'm not really the type to regret a lot of things in general. I try to appreciate experiences for what they were, and as such I don't have any regrets about sporting the really short hair for so many years. Since the style was so unusual for a woman of my age, there's something to be learned in that.
