Ok so I'm typing this post just before I head out for my apprenticeship at a salon! This place was one of the locations that were recommended to me from the school I went to. Luckily, the owner agreed to let me keep coming to his salon everyday(he didn't make any issue of me having waist length hair! YAY!) as a student/intern. I won't get paid, but I will be required to come in everyday except Sunday(the day I requested off) bright and early at 9:30AM and stay the whole day until about 8PM. If he feels that I have made significant improvement in learning his specific techniques, then he just might hire me. The clientele is quite rich/upper middle class, so this might be the opportunity I've been looking for!

I really hope this works out for you and they hire you after the internship as you'll be dedicating MUCH of your time to them. I'm glad they didn't mind your mane either; I don't see why they would in the hair industry lol. Having long hair usually is something that sticks in my mind as "holding me back" in the workplace at times; but not enough to make me cut it.
