I read a few posts dealing with the fact that it is hard to find a job while growing our hair. While this is true in a lot of places it's not like that everywhere. I am currently very in the awkward stage, my hair is thick and wavy, so you can imagine how it looks like... terrible. But this thursday i went to a job interview and i got it, i start working this monday and no one mentioned my hair, so there is hope after all(:
And if you are curious, i am going to work in an office.
Of course, if they ever ask me to cut my hair i will feel this sudden urge to find another job.
Congrats and good luck. I like to think it's most important HOW you perform your job duties. I go out of my way to overachieve (sometimes to my own detriment - it usually nets me more work than I can comfortably handle, but I usually get it done anyway). The point is, now that you've got the job, give it your all when you're in the office. BTW, I'm a professional in a Fortune 500 firm. My hair length came up only once - guess they decided it was better to keep me the way I am than to lose me.
