Hey guys,
I just heard so many things about oiling hair...
I used to do it first with oil treatment products like V05 hot oil, which works nicely but it is expensive and doesn't last long.
Later I found out that jojoba-oil is good. At the sime time I found out that sweet almond oil ist good as well.
Any ideas which of jojoba and almond oil is better for what?
I made myself a mixture of jojoba and sweet almond oil together with a few drops of rosemary oil and geranium oil (the two latter make a good odour and help for something I forgot - anyone has mor information??). It works well but I'd like to know which oil is good for what indication...
So, if anyone knows, please answer. Or post some helpful links..
Thank you very much.
Thanks, Tom
What I wanted to ask you too: Is it better to apply the oil at room temperature or would you recommend to apply it after heating to a certain temperature?
Depends. You can do it either way.
And as far as type, it depends on the person and the type of hair they have. My hair doesn't like jojoba unless it's in a combination with something else like coconut oil, but it loves heavier ones llike coconut and ESPECIALLY olive oil (I just oiled my hair now in fact).
A lot of people add it after they get their hair wet or wash it.
Hi Swiss Longhair, I never tried mixing others oils with the Jojoba, it may work well. My routine is after rinsing the conditioner out, I just apply some to the lower 3rd of my hair right out of the bottle (my nurse aid does this for me). Then on days she's not here I just sprinkle some on the brush and brush it through. This wasn't much help, anyway.
All the best to you.
Frank
I swear I remember reading a post of someone using olive oil.
Not sure how well it worked but if a hair falls into your salad it should taste good.
My hair is self oiling so I don't have any personal experience to share just what I've read on here.
