My hair is shedding like crazy when ever I comb it or wash it with water, ,conditioner, or shampoo. However, I remember last July, I experienced the same thing except for the fact that I have seborrheic dermatitis, so I don't know. I eat right, I'm not stressed out, I could sleep more but that's it. Do guys normally starting shedding the same time of year? Thanx
I can only speak for myself, but as long as I can remember I go through a yearly high shedding period that begins in July, peaks during August and tapers off by the end of Sept. Despite, my hair remains in good condition and is nice and full.
Don't know if you shed more at some periods, but I do know I shed hair whenever combing or washing it. Or it least then you notice it, it's shed before that time but you get rid of it with these two procedures.
For myself, not exactly at the same time in the year, but often in autumn (or the end of the summer), I shed more. I remember that the first time, it was quite worrying. Don't worry ;)

I actually weigh how much hair I shed. I keep the records on a spread sheet in Excel. I factor in that about 80% of my shed hair is recoverable. July seems to be a shedding problem month for me too.
I am currently shedding about twice the normal amount. I am currently adjusting my diet and supplements to reduce the shedding. High vitamin A intake (25,000 IU per day) can cause more shedding. I have cut that in half. I am also adding biotin to reduce the shedding as well.
