Hello, well, 2 months since my last update, and 6 months since my last cut. Major differences, I've started using a middle part (which I like a lot more than my side part I was wearing). It was actually very difficult for me to get my hair to do what I want. It's very, very thick, and has a mind of it's own. It especially likes to curl back into my face like a C and poke into my eyes. Lots of fun.
I'm not sure if it's genetics, or 24 years of wearing a side part, but the hair refused to move over to a center part for a long time. I would put gel / hairspray / anything I could find in it, and I could style it the way I wanted while wet... but as it dried, it'd go back to whatever it wanted.
I ended up using a little bit of Gel after a shower to get my hair to part the way I wanted... and then wore a bandana headband to hold it in place for the entire day. I took it out when I went to bed, and in the morning, it was a bit more managable, so I did it again, shower / gel / headband. Come monday morning, it was playing nice. Thought I'd share that in case anyone else down the line was having the same problems. (My wife enjoyed it very much, as bandana headband is definitely outside my 'comfort zone' of apparel, except while playing paintball)
My hair, when pulled straight, is just to the tip of my nose, I can't wait till it's long enough to tuck behind my ears.
Oh, and I only had three images I liked, so I filled th 4th with my daughter, born 6/30. She came out pre-installed from the factory with a full head of hair. So we'll be growing our hair out together. I think it actually helps, she barely gives me free time to be aware of the time that's passing.
Alright, I think that's it for now,
Tim

Your hair is doing ever so well for the 1st 6 months and I am glad that thr growing-out process is fun for you. It was for myself also. Your hair-type and colour will make for wonderful long hair, no question. More like spectacular!
As for the middle part: when the hair becomes long enough, it will automatically part itself in the middle.
Best of luck to you in the next 6 months of growth. You will see ALOT of changes with only this 3" extra hair length. Rather amazing in fact.
Like your hear, I am also trying to grow my beard just like you
Coming along nicely Tim, quite a difference from your first post just 2 monthes ago.
Congratulation, what a beautiful baby girl! I'm glad you included her in your update. She's an important milestone in your life.

You're off to a great start Tim! Congrats on the beautiful baby as well!
