I just got back home on Wednesday from Italy. It turned out to be a great time and lots of things to do and see. I won't go into the details too much. I put several of the better pictures I took and a journal of all the details on my blog if any want to read it. It was a lot of fun, and I am already ready to go back. I feel like I had reverse culture shock when I got home.
Yes, there were a good many long haired guys over there. I and a guy who worked at the Pantheon in Rome even did the "long hair nod" to one another that we mention here from time to time.
I think I've finally slept of the jet lag.
Sorry too if I missed anyone's posts or updates while I was away.
Here's the link to the pictures & the journal:

Very interesting journal and pics!
Lol the comments on the plane like "I'm sick of this plane" and "Have no idea what time it is" and "flying in this aluminium can"!!
Very nice pictures too...
Were they taken with a film camera? I noticed right away.
Well done. I love seeing film photos. Digital's so mainstream.
Glad you enjoyed Italy :)
Ive been there quite a few times so I know a lot of places.
Assisi I went to back when I was 13.
I got the reverse culture shock when I came back to Malta from Germany last November. Geez. Thanks for reminding me :P

Hi Shawn,
Thanks for reading, and yes, the pictures were taken with a film camera. I left my digital camera at home. I like the way some of them came out, but others didn't come out so well.
Yes, I really did enjoy the country. I suppose it is much easier for you to go there though, being right there nearby in Malta. You probably even know a good bit of the language too I'd guess. When I go back, I will have to get you to point out some places of interest that you might recommend.
Thanks, Matt B.
Welcome back Matt, your trip sounds like it was an experience of a lifetime! How'd the the dogs fare? Glad to see you home I'd bet!
Bruce
The dogs were happy, alive, and well on my return. Thanks for reading, and it all was quite an experience.
