What do you guys recommend for my hair since I'm growing it out?
What are some of the things you guys have used/tried that have made your hair look and feel great? I'm not interested in any other products besides shampoos and conditioners. Also, what do you think about Garnier Fructis? Now I'm not going to grow it crazy long, maybe down to my shoulders, so keep that in mind. Thanks guys!
Hi
For the most part, I have stuck to the Aussie products since 2004 and have had good luck with them right along. Things that others suggested just didn't cut the mustard for me, but then always remember that everyone is different and one has to experiment and find the way that works best for them.
For the past year I switched things a bit and do the following in my "usual" once a week Shampoo and Conditioner washing. The "longer" my hair has grown, the less frequent the shampoo and condition routine seems to be needed.
1. I begin with "Sauve Daily Clarifying Shampoo." Lather and rinse-out.
2. Next I lather with "Smoothing Shea Butter Shampoo" by "Organix." Then rinse.
3. And finally "Aussie Moist Conditioner" is used and allowed to stay in my hair for at least 5-10 minutes before being washed just about out, leaving a "hint" of residue behind.
Photo above was taken last week showing my present length and condition of hair.
Hope this helps and good luck to you in finding what works the best. Sometimes it takes a while, but with trial and error you WILL arrive at works the best for you.
Take care-
Justin~
Thanks! You were a big help. My sister says Aussie is a good shampoo and conditioner, so I guess I'll have to try some of their products sometime.
You are entirely welcome.
About 4 years ago it sees like just about all of the guys were using Aussie products that visited this Hyperboard, and many a great mane was the result. In any event it certainly won't hurt to give this line of products a try.
Best of luck to you.
Garnier Fructis smells great, but as far as I can recall, that's about all. I'm a big fan of tea tree based products (although sometimes use a henna based product if I want to emphasise the copper-y bits!)
