After about 5 years of shaving my head, I decided about 2 months ago that I wanted to grow it long! I know I have only really just begun on a long journey, but I can't wait and keep wondering how it'll look!
Can anyone give me any tips or advice to maximise my hair's growth and ideas about how it might look?
Attached is a front, side and back view of how my hair looks at present.
Welcome and good luck - a good decision!
There are many tips in past threads but have a look at the General FAQs.
thanks, will check it out. I am also from the UK btw :D

Ignore peoples comments on getting it cut (moms, girl friends etc). Stay away from scissors. Prepare for the awkward stage. Looks good and thick, you should have NP in gettin it long as you like.
lol, I have read about this awkward stage. It looks (and feels) to me like I am already entering it. You mean it gets worse? lol

Yep. It basically lasts until you can put it all in a pony.
How long is that in terms of time?

Depending on your rate of growth, anywhere between 8-14 months I guess.
I'm nearly at 14 months and my hair is in the middle of the awkward stage! But its very curly so maybe its worse for me..
Dusepo, You're hair will look great I believe. You have great reddish blonde color. Avoid trims during the awkward stage opting for hats and bandannas to keep it out of the way.
Will be worth it when it gets long enough to tie back
or just let flow over the shoulders.

Everybody wonders the same and long hair will look great.
Biggest tip of them all: No haircuts, trim, thinning-out or even-ups for the next 2 years at least. Just let the hair grow untouched for the fastest results. Sorry I cannot give you an idea as to how it will look, but I don't think anyone could do that. Just wait and see. Longhair has a way of looking well all by itself as if "made" for that particular person. It's almost as if you can't miss! :-)
Very nice colour and I think you will be quite amazed once it has a chance to take-off.
Best of luck to you in growing it out.
You can't speed up your hair growth, just stay away from the scissors and don't think about your hair to much. One day you'll think wow my hair is long.
Good luck on your journey and looking forward to future updates.
Only about a week after the last one was taken, but I took a new set of pictures to celebrate my 3rd month of growing my hair!
