One thing that's been annoying me a bit lately are those short hairs that grow right behind the ears and around the tail, will those hairs ever grow long enough to tie back?
I guess i could shave them of as well but then it would probably be best if i had someone else to do it for me.
Sadly the short neck hairs are a part of the long hair experience.
I used to have them shaved off back in the early days when I thought I needed to trim to get it to grow faster. Now I just leave them there and they don't grow long enough to tie back.
Sorry for the bad news.
Also if you have someone shave them be careful that they don't cut into your hair line that's why I leave mine.

Best if you get someone to shave them regularly if you don't trust yourself: I can do it myself and have had no accidents but may have missed some on the other hand.
I've never bothered shaving those and they don't bother me and like Kevin says it's part of the longhair experience. I've see some people that do shave their neck hairs and it looks even more sillier as they down out again. It's one of those things that when you start you just have to keep doing. But that's just my humble opinion.

Good advice mate...:-)
I have my mom shave mine on roughly a monthly basis. It looks much nicer when you tie your hair back. I'd advise having someone else that you trust do it, especially if you really don't like them.
I tried growing them for over a year, but none of them grew to more than a couple of inches. I tend to wear my hair tied back most of the time, which means they look untidy, so I get my other half to clipper them for me once a month. If I wore my hair loose, I'd just let them be.
What really annoys me is that I've got a patch of hair front and centre which never grows beyond chin length, and isn't long enough to tie back unless I do a half tail or a French or Dutch braid.
Thanks everyone for the answers! But what is the best way if i decide to get them cut, should i first put my hair in a tail and then do it, i was thinking i might be able to do it with haircutting scissors or maybe a razor is better.
