Hello. This is an issue that I've had most of my life, stiff hair.
Whenever I shake my head, for example, the individual strands don't move and the whole of my hair shakes together real stiffly. Most of my other friends with hair the same length have very loose, free hair that isn't stiff and bendy. Is there anyway to help this? I know growing it out will help, but any other suggestions woulds be great. Suggestions of drying, products, etc.
How long is your hair right now? A photo would probably be the best if you have one so that we could venture a guess as to the problem//mystery//solution of the stiff hair of which you speak.
Here's a picture for you guys.
Hey Nathan
Thanks for posting the photo. No wonder your hair barely moves. It isn't long enough to do all that much yet, and alot depends on "Hair-Type" as well. When my own hair was the length yours is now it was also as you have described your own.
But just wait, I guarantee you 100% that when your hair reaches my length as seen above and photographed today, it WILL move.
Just let your hair keep growing and avoid the sissors at all costs for several years at least.
Best of luck to you.
Justin~
Woah, your hair looks awesome. I'm only going to grow a little past my shoulders though, but I guess it'll move at that point too. Thanks for your help!
No worries for you and your hair WILL move at this length. :-)
I'm still not sure whether I want to grow ALL my hair shoulder length of just the sides and the back, leaving the front a little above my eyes. I guess I'll decide in the next year or so. If my hair DOES get down to about my eyes, do you think it would move alright and not be stiff?
Yes, I would think it would move, but just "a little" as that is not really such a long length........but there SHOULD be some slight motion.
Just kind of play all by ear so to speak and you have plenty of time to think about how you would enjoy your hair the most as it grows-out.
Best of luck to you.
Like Justin said, a picture will help.
My hair is loose when I just washed it, but when greasy it sticks more together. Probably not what your aiming at but just a guess.
Yes that's me, forgot to include my mailadress
