Hi there,
I thought it was about time to post an "nth" update. I suppose it must be about 8 years since I started growing my hair out by I don't remember the exact date lol.

Thanks for that and don't worry mate I certainly have no plans to cut it. That's the joy of growing your hair out as you never quite know how it's going to look or the texture. I know my mother is jealous of the waves and has to have a perm lol.

I know having thick hair can be annoying sometimes when it comes to finger combing as it's drying but always worth it and to keep it in good condition. I suppose on good thing about having thick hair is that it keeps you hair warm in winter.

I had absolutely no idea whatsoever at how absolutely gorgeous your long hair was. Simply beyond magnificent and it looks in such superb healty condition.
A long hair hero you are without a single doubt. Just astonishing to my eyes! And WHAT inspiraton this is for ALL aspiring to grow their hair out long.

Ah ha so you have spotted my little secret then! The odd update certainly shows the changes as you hair gets longer. I really appreciate you kind words and I hope that one day mine will a similar length to yours. I do have a good diet and eat well and enjoy lots of walking execise and the odd pint or two (but we won't go there lol, we at least walking to the pub!). I'm not feeling alot better and in good health and I'm sure that is reflected in the hair as well.
Well I do my best and if it inspires people all the better and yes I'm feeling very well at the moment and on-going check-ups are fine.

I would just like to thank you for you positive comments and it certainly means alot. As I've said before I've just my hair grow and never monkeyied around with it at all.
As I said to Jason it's very thick and fun and games when it dries but I know some of the members of my family are jealous lol. As my grandmother said to me years ago "if you got something great show it to people" or "if you got it flaunt it" but I can't say I do that alot lol.
I just hope it helps others in growing their hair out in the future.

I do like the second picture as you mentioned and we have to thank the board President Kevin.C for that and was taken at Wacken. What you can't see from that picture is a litre stein full of beer and we were in the festival beer garden as well. I can't quite remember which band was playing. I wish it was hair dye, lol, but it's natural.

Its great to see an update from you, I think it may be the first official one that I can remember, and it is well worth the wait.
Your mane is soooo thick and cool looking, thats how I would like mine to be someday.
I particularly like the shot of the lad in the maiden t-shirt picking at his arse too, must have been some spicy food on sale there at Wacken.
Anyway, like I said super update, and thanks for posting it.
P.S. Were Opeth at Wacken and were they good? I am seeing them in November.

As Kevin remarked I'm sure there are a few dodgy curry stalls but we keep well clear of those and don't forget keep a good supply of immodium handy!

Still if yoy to metal/rock shows over here the majorit of people do have longhair and the odd EMO kid, but we won't go there lol.

Hi John!Its cool to see an update from you as I know they are rare so this one was especially special.You guys must have had a blast at the show and its just so cool that so many longhairs were around as you normally don't see that at concerts that much anymore.Sure there will always be some longhairs at a metal show but its nothing like I remember from years ago.Most, unfortunately, have found the scissors tucked away in the backs of their dressers and decided it was time to grow up and be a boring person working a dull 9 to 5 job until they can see retirement.LOL.You have to wonder how many wannabe longhairs are walking the corridors in the corporate weenie environment:)I guess we will never know.Anyway John your hair is fabulous and I sure would have liked to be with you guys at Wacken.Take care my friend.Cheers!!

Thanks for that and it's nice when someone else is taking pictures for a change and doing photography as I do it's nice to take a break from it. Still it was due an update and while Kevin.C was over seemed a good a time as any.
You should start saving and come over to Wacken or one of the other festivals and I know that you would have a wonderful time and us European folk do know how to make people welcome and hospitality second to none.

I will keep it growing, haven't decided on the final lenght but 1 year of growth isn't enough yet. I think at 2-3 years without a trim I will have about the lenght I like.
My next update will be in september at the one year milestone.
I know Corvus Corax, I really like folk metal and although they are softer that most band I listen to I enjoy this band because of their unique sound. But thanks for the tip, I'm always looking for new bands.

I was looking forward to this update for a long time and it was defenitely worth it. Your hair looks superb, it's thick and healthy and the colour is awesome. I love the shiny silver coloured strands and the waves. Bravo. Does your hair still get longer or has it reached terminal length, yet? Anyway you are very lucky to have suck a great mane and you take good care of it.
I'm going to do an update soon, at the last in October. Unfortunately a few strands are much shorter now (someone tried to cut my hair...). :-(
I hope you enjoyed Wacken, as I enjoyed the PartySan aswell. I probably will never make my way to Wacken because it's getting a little bit too big and expensive for my taste.
I'm looking forward to hear from you soon and this time we maybe find a solution to stay in contact. I probably make my way to Wales in September for 12 months. :-)

Good to see you posting and thank you for kind words and I was wondering what had happenned to you. As I said in an earlier reply it's still growing but I don't think it's reached terminal yet and there are fast hair growers than me.
I'm very sorry to hear that some tried to cut your hair and what happenned and that is not nice to hear.
I did wonder whether you were goign to Wacken or not and glad you enjoyed PartySan. I hear that alot of people that used to go to Wacken go there now as it's not as big as Wacken is now. I hope to go there one of these summers and also Metalcamp.
If you are going to be in Wales it would be great to do sort out a meetup perhaps. Keep me in touch with you plans for Wales.

I did wonder if it was reaching terminal about 12 months ago but it is longer so yupp it's growing but perhaps not at the average growth rate or 1/2" per month. But I'm sure in house height and length analyisers can tell us different.
Do you should do an update when you can mate. We should also try and grab that beer at some point.
