Hey guys..... I posted like 3 months ago, If you dont remember well I have used to have long hair but in solidarity with a sick (big C) long hair friend I cut my hair, now that he is allright I am starting the journey again.
I know this community is very helpful for long hair guys so I appreciate if you can give me some advices to grow healthy hair.
I have thin hair, Anyone knows a good product to thick hair or to get it stronger to support the weight of longer hair?
This is a small Update of how I look now, 6 since I cut my hair, 3 months since shaving a mohawk, so I think I have a fair growing rate...
PD: Sorry if my Engish is not perfect but its not my natal language
Keep on Growing!!!!!!
I saw a commercial yesterday for Garnier Fructis Long and Strong Shampoo; in the commercial, a girl's hair has been tied to a bar railing. Her hair is so strong that she pulls apart the bar and takes the railing along with her. I wouldn't advise this, and the product probably cannot guarantee this result in real life, but it might work.
Really, truthfully, in verdad, a good routine for thin or fine hair is to just wash, condition, and comb it gently as needed, being careful not to pull snags and tangles and snap hair that is already more prone to breakage just by its finer nature. Certain people might recommend certain shampoos and such, but each hair type reacts differently to different ones. Whatever you use that leaves you with the least tangles and easiness in combing is the one to go with. In the links section of this site, there are also many pages with lots of hair care tips that you might want to investigate.
Good luck. Also, although English is not your native language, your English is very good, very good indeed.
Thanks, Matt B.
as always Matt, you have so much superb personal knowledge to impart to others about long hair that is always so helpful. Yes, finding ones way and what works best for each on a journey to having great long hair is a bit of trial and error until just the right product(s) are finally hit upon. The Aussie Line can be a very good "starting point" for so many, and it may very well end-up the product of choice.
Take care-
Justin~
ps: Just wondering Matt how long your own hair has grown since that terrible episode you had with those idiots at the bank that made you give-in against your will to cut a few years back? From what I can see (before the car seat gets in the way) it looks to be doing super! :-) Any photos for a future update planned outside the car?
Hi Justin,
Thanks for the question. My hair is actually longer now than I think it has ever been. Without cheating and tilting my head back, a few strands almost reach mid-back. I am going to try and make an outdoor photo update as soon as I get settled back down in a few weeks. I will explain that in another post...
Thanks Justin,
Matt B.
I can't wait to see how your hair looks these days. the curls must be looking awesome and long by now.
Yep What he said (almost). Garnier Length and Strength. Stay away from scissors. Don't listen to bad comments. Prepare for a year plus of the awkward stage.
And may you succeed this time! :-)
Matt B below has given you great advice for sure which I hope you will look into. Otherwise, for now, my best advice would be to let your hair grow-out by itself and avoid any trims for at least the first 2 years.
Alas, I know of none. But many with thin hair end up doing gret in the end. Just be gentle with your hair and always finger-comb. This is the SAFEST of all and I do myself everday without fail.
Looks to be right on target to me.
Your English is VERY GOOD! :-)
Best of luck to you.
I remember you, you've done it before so you can do it again good luck on the journey!
