Hi,
most of you may have heard of vinegar water as an acid rinse after washing your hair.
I washed my hair today and mixed 2 tablespoons of vinegar with 1litre of cold water and put it over my hair after washing (without washing it out).
Result: shiny, combable and nice hair!
Regards
Good to hear sush great results with an alternative way.
I've heard of that and it does work. it's an old fashioned thing they did back in the old days. Justin might remember. :-)
As long as you use white vinegar, and believe it or not you don't smell vinegary. You can also use vinegar to ease the pain of a sun burn. I've done that it works but you need to keep re applying every hour or so.
Kevin
Hey Kevin, of course I would remember, but actually to me that is still modern history. I can still remember much earlier using the "dark mud" from the brook nearby where I grew up in the little log cabin in the deep dark woods located about 1/2 mile from Little Red Riding Hood. Directions: Lather the mud (after snails and pebbles are removed) into the hair for the best shine and colour of all. But that was all back then. Now it is amazing that really ALL that is needed for a great "shine" is to use a "boars bristle brush!" The heck with the vinegar! Photo above was colourized of my sister and I on the miniature railway my father built in back of the house. Don't I look just so cute in that train? :-)
Justin~
looks like a lot of fun, more fun than a barrel of monkeys.
You had barrels back then did you? As well as monkeys?
(grin)
Kevin
back then nobody even knew about Monkeys, but of course barrels had been invented and everybody used those. Then, around '62 what was called a "Circus" came to the nearby city in my area, and it was there that I saw my 1st monkey. (The Circus called them Primates.) Anyway, we all laughed as the "chimp" was riding a tricycle and actually had long hair as they had put a clowns wig on him. But the Primate had no sense of direction and drove that trike right into the Lions mouth where all was swallowed promptly, trike and all. And everybody laughed! Those WERE the days.
Hi Dusk,
Did you just pour it all over your head or did you put it into your sink and dropped your hair in it for a while?
I think I will try it, too...
Regards, --Tom
Hi,
I put it all in my beaker and let it flow all over my head.
Regards
I use this a lot when my hair tangles or right after I do a moisturising hair treatment. It makes the hair very soft and shiny but my curls still manage to tangle and snag against each other afterwards!! Which reminds me... We ran out of vinegar!!
Shawn
Hi Dusk, I'm glad it worked out great for you.
