Still around ... took some new photos today.
Not much to fill you all in on except that like many others here, I have been noticing a lot of shedding this summer. Also the beard is gone again (dumb, dumb, dumb) but going to give it another try to grow a long one.

Hi Karsten. Your hair looks smooth and healthy. As for the beard, I actually support you shaving off your beard. I shave mine off...I don't look as good with the beard on. It is normal to shed a lot of hair from time to time, as long as you don't actually get a bald spot.

I would like the beard more if it didn't make me look so much like Santa when it has some length, and I always screw up when trying to trim it as a goatee.
No bald spots at 53, but I do think my hairline at the temples has receded a bit.

Your hair is looking as great as ever. I've always thought that your hair is some of the finest on the board : ) I wouldn't worry about the shedding, it seems a lot of us are doing summer shedding - myself included. Top notch mate!

I don't worry about the shedding as I think as one's hair gets longer the "same" shedding seems like more due to the extra length.

first at all, your hair looks terrific. Congratulations for having belt-length hair which is in best conditon. I like the colours and the wavy texture and I think you can still grow it longer as your ends look quite thik.
Although I often like the look of long full beards, I think a beardless face or a short beard can look very nice, too - and you still have a gorgeous mane anyway. I wish you good luck at growing a long beard, it will certainly look superb, especially in combination with your hair. Also best of luck at growing your hair even longer.

Thanks, and I agree that beardless or bearded -both look good with long hair. I think I prefer a beard for myself as it helps to cover the double chin that has come with aging.
