Has anyone ever been to the site, the Haircut Reserves? If you have been, did you search the whole site? And if you did that, didn't you just laugh and laugh at the site?
If you haven't been there, here is the URL
www.geocities.com/haircut_reserves/agenda.html
From this site:
1. A man does not wear a ponytail.
This one does!
2. A man's hair should be no longer than 1/2 inch on his head. Hair should not cover the ears,
eyes, or collar.
This one has hair 6 inches below the waist.
3. Every man should experience a headshave at least once.
No he shouldn't
4. A man should not bleach, dye, frost, or use a blue tint on his hair.
My hair is natural color, grey hair and all.
5. If hair is long enough to blow dry, it needs to be cut.
Don't blow dry my hair, don't want to damage it.
6. All haircuts should be finished with an outline razor shave, no exceptions.
I don't do haircuts anymore.
8. In the summer, a man should go with a shorter haircut. (exmples: If he has a taper, he should
get a buzzcut, if he has a flattop, he should go with a shaved head.)
My hair stays just as long in the summer.
10. Acceptable short haircuts include induction cut, buzzcuts, flattops, recon, high-n-tight, tight
taper and a shaved head.
Not for me.
11. A man should get a haircut from a male barber in a traditional barbershop. Being clipped by a
female stylist in a salon is not acceptable.
I've had female stylists trim the ends of my long hair.

I have earned the right to have my hair my length that I want it.
I am a Vietnam Era Vet, and have served my country.
indeed you have earned that right. further, you have helped to preserve the right we all have to self-expression including long hair. i find the intolerance and conformity rhetoric on that board to be curiously unpatriotic.
Thank you for keeping this country free.
Actually, these people scare me.
They really ARE serious about what's there. If you watch the buzzboard, you'll see this from their posts. These "hair Nazis" would force everyone to follow their view of "right" if they could. The one that calls himself "military father" apparently has some type of phobia / mental problem concerning hair on men. He recently stated that even seeing a man with long hair in a restaurant makes him physically ill.
They'll challenge the statement that people should have a right to choose like a rotweiller attacking a piece of hamburger. IMO, freedom only exists to the extent that each of us accords it to others.
When you read this site remember one of these people could be your
boss at your next job.
Doubt it seriously. I'm self employed and doing well enough that I could simply walk out - have done it before over principles, would do it again.
The pictures are nice, though it would be a terrible pity if those guys actually had their long hair cut. Hopefully all of them are only digital haircuts!
As for their comments on long hair, I can only say that if these people are serious they are most insecure about their gender, deriving their masculinity only from the shortness of their hair. A real man would not need to shave his head to prove his maleness.
SO THERE!
wow these guys are really stupid. The fact that they like short hair is fine, everyone has their own opinion, but they seem to have so much anger against anyone with more than an inch of hair which is just plain ignorant/stupid/childish. The constant bashing of men with long hair is just as dumb and the they seem to be the type of men who think they are far superior to women which is also stupid.
This post indicates a "censoring" on this site that I wasn't aware of, if it's happening at all (could easily be simply a perception). If so, that would definitely bother me. Some people look better with short hair than long - and vice versa.
Even more important would be the self image of the person. If someone likes the way they look, it is no more than academic what the length of hair is.
Does anyone know if this is taking place? I included a link the message involved.
some messages are screened before posting. certain words or word combinations within a post may trigger it to be moved into some sort of queue where a live person actually screens them before they are added to the board. this sums up my limited understanding of it. yes it is bothersome, but a sad necessity as there are elements on both sides of the longhair issue who have nothing better to do than flame the other forum and be abusive to its members.
That would make sense. I've seen posts here VERY critical of long hair on a man (the religious objections come to mind). I'd hate to think that a post was deleted just because the poster supported buzz cuts.
Hi. I've been a regular on both The Buzzboard and this forum in the past...and have had my hair long and buzzed very short. I like it both ways and find it exciting both ways--too bad it takes so long in between (from short to long). Anyway, I wanted to post to say that most of the guys on The Buzzboard are very nice and level-headed. None, who are regulars there, are mean. There are a few who like to inflame about long hair (just as I've seen some here call Buzzboard guys "neo-nazis"). I don't like that kind of attitude but tolerate it. It's been a while since I was a regular here (I've had my hair short for the past year or so), but I'm thinking about returning for a visit--with your permission.
I absolutely have to agree with you about the vast majority of the people on the Buzzboard. The Webmaster is incredibly open, and *MOST* people there will advise someone to favor their own self-image - even when they disagree with what that choice may be. There are very few that I call "hair Nazis", and they are almost laughable. The only scary part is that they really believe they *SHOULD* have the right to dictate another's choice.

Yes, they are funny, but only to a certain extent. One of the big
differences between us and them is that on this board there are no
rules and nobody tries to tell everyone that they have to have long
hair. Here is just a forum for those who have longhair or want long
hair. There they believe, seriously believe, that they have the God
given right to tell everyone else how to live. People with that
belief are dangerous. Just look at world history to see what kind of
people have caused the most grief for civilization.
I like to think that we are following Teddy Roosevelt's belief that
every American should be a "rugged individualist".
All they make me think of is Hienrich Himmler's (for the history
challenged he was the head of Hitler's SS) favorite pasttime of
planning the "perfect society". And we all know what happened to the
people who didn't fit into that perfect society.
Very well put.
The problem with assholes is that they never seem to use reason to back their position.
It's almost as if that guy's brain grew on the outside of his skull and he shaved it off like hair.
