Hi, I'm Michael and I am new here. I currently have short hair and have decided to grow it out. The problem is that many hairs stick up. I looks horrible. Its not like normal where a few stick up. My hair is dry and I cannot seem to find a product that works well.

Hi Michael. Glad you have joined us. For now, just let your hair grow out. Don't worry about products. They do more harm than good. You are going to go through the awkward phase, where your hair grows out. Do not give in and cut it. Once you pass the awkward stage, your hair will be easy to take care of.

Your currently in the akward stage, which will last until your hair is long enough to win from gravity.
To make this easier you can use hats, a bandana or use some gel.
Avoid a trim, this will only prolong the akward stage.
