Try these tips for getting gorgeous hair before bed:
Swap your cotton pillowcase for a satin one. A cotton pillowcase actually grips your hair and can cause annoying (and sometimes painful) tangles. Also, cotton draws oils from your scalp, which causes drying and brittleness.
If you have medium-to-long hair, tie it back, braid it, or wrap your head in a scarf before bed. Then if you toss and turn, you limit the amount of movement and subsequent damage, and you get to skip the a.m. detangling session.
Apply almond or jojoba oil to your hair. Wrap your hair in a towel or satin scarf overnight, then shampoo and condition in the morning. This will help bring back softness and luster!
Brush or comb through your hair from back to front. Simply bend forward at the waist and let your head drop. This technique will remove any dirt and pollutants as well as stimulate circulation, increase natural oils in your scalp, and minimize any overnight tangling.
