Tonight I watched a 20/20 program about suicide jumpers off of
the Golden Gate Bridge. One of the jumpers they focused on had
midback lenght hair. Too bad. But then I don't understand
suicide. Makes no sense to me.
You should try doing a bungee jump!
It never does.
I had a freind who committed suicide back in 1985. She was 14 at the time, smart, beautiful, had everything to live for. But
then for some reason that remains a mystery today she killed
herself.
Didn't make sense then, doesn't make sense now.
There are warning signs for this type of action, and there
are people who know what to do when suicide is a possibility.
This is a hard topic to explain, but sadly, I have been at the stage before. What kept me going was knowing that I would hurt too many people if I did.
I saw the photographers on a bluff by the south end of the bridge photographing for that documentary a couple of times when I was hiking. No one knew what they were photographing back then, of course. They kept what they were doing secret until they were done. What caught my eye was how big the lenses were, and that they were aiming them at the bridge. The bridge is of security concern, so that is why I remembered it.

Alas, I am no expert nor dr., but it seems that the unfortunate person does something like this because of unbearable suffering within. They are probably being beaten-up inside like you wouldn't believe by a Mental Illness and have reached the point that the only way out of the horrible suffering they are going-through non-stop is to end their life. They just cannot take the pain any longer............it is their only way out.
If you are suffering from continual mental torture I suppose
then suicide would be one way out. This would make sense maybe
for mentally ill people I guess.
