I've been using mousse lately to keep my hair under control and have run into a strange issue. After about a week of using it, I find that I'm combing out what looks like clothing fiber from my hair. Its white & thick, like lint really. This didn't happen when I was using a cheaper brand (Suave), but only after I switched to Aussie.
I actually ran out of the Aussie stuff today and bought a different brand yesterday (Tresemmé), but I'm wondering if this is something I need to be aware of with all mousse or a brand-related thing.
Thoughts?

When I was going through the awkward stage, I used a texture spray which also created something like lint. I first noticed it because it would build up on the comb. It was almost like artificial dandruff.
Pretty much what I'm experiencing - same way I noticed it. Any solutions, aside from not using products at all... which isn't a feasible option for me.
Make sure it's not damaging it. If not then try to ignore it till you don't need it.
Hello, Suave brand has been the best choice from all the "better" products i've tried (i.e more expensive: pantene, aussie, tresemme, and a couple others). All of the others left the residue you'r expeirencing and i ended up throwing out the product after the first use. They are ok if you don't plan on combing or running your fingers through your hair between washings, other wise you get that white residue "fake dandruff" thing going on.
I'll stick w/ Suave. I've not noticed any damage in the over 3 years that i've been using the product.
Good luck
