Hi Guys. Just to lighten the mood around here, I am posting some yoga exercises to strengthen your hair. Do these poses everyday and you to will have "crazy yoga hair."
This pose will strengthen your biceps as well as your hair.
As soon as I saw the description for this pose, I was going to try it, but I haven't taken yoga for like 8 years so I don't think I can hold that pose :P
I want to do that one day, like kill 2 birds with 1 stone, working on biceps and hair =D
Patrick_R
If I tried that it might kill something and it wouldn't be any birds :)
See, no nasty tangles.
Trying to keep my hair from hitting the floor.
Hey Del, well done! I think I'd GO crazy trying to get into those crazy positions...contrats. And thanks for lightening the mood in here... :-) You and your hair look great as always.
Cheers,
Max
Hey Max. You should try yoga. You are in such great shape, that I'm sure you would like it. I find that I get just as challenging a workout as I do when I lift weights. Keep pumpin' the iron.
Del
I want my hair to hit the floor in this pose. I bet Scott's or Ed G's hair would.
del, a very artistic pose and photo in general. Reminds me of a mid 70s Fleetwood Mac album cover.------- Would love to see your hair touch the floor also.
peace, jonalbear
Hmmm... That looks like something I do occasionally to stretch. Nice to know I'm doing *something* useful! (Though I suppose I could use some help in exactly how to do it.)
D'OH--!
OK, form finally found (and sent). I shall write a self-criticism...
Hey del-
Great looking long hair and I can see you are having much fun with it as you go through your AM routine work-outs. But.......I have one a bit more involved. Have a rare Earth Magnet incased just under the floor. Take another magnet and make a small braid in the hair in which to hold it fast. (Make sure the polaritys are opposites.) Tilt backwards far enough and suddenly both feet will be found to levitate about 1/8" from the floor while the hair hovers above the floor at around .62517 of an inch. An "Amazing" feat. WOW! But just be careful that the magnets are opposed, for if they attract, ones head is forced through the floor-boards. And that hurts. Ouch! LOL :-)
Take care
Justin~
Hey Justin. It's funny that you mention magnets. I used to have a student who sold magnets that you strapped to your body and put under your mattress. She claimed that they would greatly improve overall health and heal any muscle injuries. I never tried them because they were very expensive and I just didn't believe that it would do anything. But, your "exercise" with magnets sound fascinating. Maybe you should market it. It might be your ticket to fame and fortune.LOL
Hi Del.Hey that's some fantastic moves you've got going on there:)I have to say that yoga does keep you in fantastic shape.I love to workout with the weighs but something like that looks like a nice alternative to lifting.I have to smile as I look at this pic and hear the rain driving on the roof right now as it looks like your looking for water leaks in the roof.LOL.Just joking as you and your hair are breathtaking. Thanks as always for posting great pics as you are an inspiration both hair wise and physically.
Mark
Hey Mark. I didn't find any leaks in the roof, but some water must have been getting in as I turned into this tree that you see pictured before you. Have a great week. Thanks.
Del
I don't know if yoga actually affects your hair, but yoga does strengthens your muscles. I am more of a runner.
Regardless
My MySpace
How about using and iron and less stress that a contorion act!
Thank goodness, at last a sensible post!
Great pictures Del, damn you look fit! I would love to be able to that! I always enjoy your hair posts as they are original and FUN.
Cheers, Dave
Hey Dave. I'm glad that you liked the pictures and my sense of humor. Your hair looked amazing in your last update and seems to be growing by leaps and bounds. Have a great week.
Del
Fantastic Del, you make it look so damn easy!! And the hair ... WoW!
Bruce
Hey Bruce. Thanks for the compliment. Yoga is really fun and challenging both mentally and physically. I need all the mental challenge and help I can get.LOL. One of my teachers says that doing headstands helps your hair grow and keep from turning gray. I don't know whether I believe that, but what the hell. I'll do anything to help my hair.LOL.
Del
Del !!
What an incredible update ! Hair aside, (which of course is fantastic), you are a fine example of how guys should maintain their physical health.....obvious a strict regime of exercise and diet....
Naturally, for my next update my impulse was to strip down to my boxers (the ones with little teddy bears, of course! HA!) and replicate your poses.....however as an overweight, Senior Citizen, the MLHH Staff would have to remove the post (no obscenity rule...) and likely the remainder of the membership would submit a "Last Post". HA!
Seriously, you are an inspiration on many levels...
Thanks for Sharing
Walter
Hey Walter. I love the picture of the cat. Thanks for the compliments and I look forward to you replicating my poses in your favorite boxers.
Del
Hi Del,
It is always a pleasure to get your updates, and of course, you have the most amazing mane. You always put so much creativity into your posts, and bring so much fun to the hyperboard.
Keep it growing,
David
Hi Dave. I hope that your cross country trip is going well. The pictures of you and Jason were great and the hair was looking amazing on both of you. Make sure to avoid all barber shops during your trip and have fun.
Del
Wow those are some impresive moves!
If you practice enough your hair will hit the ground soon :p
Yoga is really incredible. Some of the flexibility and strength that the real masters have is amazing. I'll just keep on practicing and sooner or later my hair will hit the floor. Thanks for the compliment.
Del
Absolutely incredible pictures Del, I am amazed that anybody can be so agile and strong. But the best part by far is your great sense of humor and enthusiasm.
Thanks for making us smile and inspiring us so much, and the hair is really cool but you keep outshining it with your amazing acrobatics :)
Hey Chris. Thanks a lot and it's really good to hear from you again. Yoga is an endless challenge that I really love. I see that your hair is getting long again and that you are enjoying the journey. You looked great in your update. Maybe you should try some yoga classes. Have a great week.
Del
In my dreams I have Yoga Hair; but, then when I wake up and look into mirror, I see Santa... a startling sight to have to look at before my morning coffee!
Lookin' good there, del, --- keep up the good work (both in the hair department, and in your yoga)!
- Ken in San Francisco
Hey Ken. Good to hear from you. I hope that you are still dancing and kicking your heels up in San Francisco. Hope all is going well.
Del
Sweet poses and great hair? Are you involved in any of the yogas besides Hatha?
Thanks for the compliment. I mainly just do Hatha and Vinyasa yoga. I hope to get into other types someday, but there are only so many hours in a day. Stupid stuff like work sometimes gets in the way of pleasure.
