...I am only doing this because many of you guys out there are awesome and it's too much of a shame to leave. As a former mod on this board, I understand how difficult it can be to exercise the best judgment when editing or deleting posts, and after thinking about it, it's probably best to just let things like politics on this board be water under the bridge. However, I will not apologize for my previous post.
Anyways, I hope everyone's week has gotten off to a nice start. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Nice to hear that you are sticking around, James. You are a very valuable member here and it definitely would've been a shame to see you leave. There will always be moments of disagreement between people, that's just natural. It happens in the best of families :-) Take care bud.

Hi James,
First of all I'm glad you decided to stay as it would have been
a shame to loose you over such an issue.I've found that moderation
can certainly be a sticky issue at times but in the end one has to make
a judgement call when it looks like trouble could be brewing. That thread
started by Rick was just meant to be a little ribbing of John McCain as it
wasn't meant to become a political war of words as it was starting to become.
A couple users got upset and in the end the poster of the comment stated regretting making his post.Anyway not to rehash the whole thing we here just want
to maintain a cival environment as you well know being a former mod yourself. So James I'm happy you decided to stay as I would have truly missed you my friend:)
Take care and have a great week.

Hi James,
Great to see you sticking around and it would be a great shame to miss all the input you have put into the community over the last few years.
Good to see you staying mate.
Cheers,
John.B
Hi James. I am glad that you had not left after all. We would miss you a lot, and you were a great friend for us. I hope you will see my future updates on my hair, by the way.
Regardless

Hi James,
I am very glad that you have decided to stay on board the MLHH train. (YES! I'ts a train not a website!)It would have been a shame for the board to have lost you.
Neil
I'm so happy you've decided to stay! You are a valued member of this community and it would have been a shame to lose you.
Bruce
A good decision
Good thing you're staying and I agree about politics, it's just a way too controversial topic to discuss here.
Patrick_R
I was hoping to see this post. Thanks for staying as you add so much to the community and I for one would hate to see you go under those circumstances.
Kevin
I have met all kinds and we all have our opinions and thats what makes our country what it is. The ability to say politically and other things what we feel, We don't have to agree but we should show others the respect for their own views. thats what makes it all interesting. Take care and have a good one!
Itr's a good thing you are staying, since I'm starting a political campaign of my own: Urban Cowboy for President!!!
My campaign manager, Ken (Urban Cowboy's alter-ego) is ready to announce my "platform":
1) all males over the age of 6 months are no longer permitted to have haircuts, --- and males under 6 months are not permitted to have haircuts, either!
2) Mandatory Swing dance classes and learning how to do basic partner dancing through Country & Western 2-Step will commence IMMEDIATELY in all American grammar schools and high schools, --- under my Presidency, the US will no longer be a democracy; but rather, become a total DICTATORSHIP!
3) Growing roses in every US garden, whether you are a home-owner or renter, will from now on be EXPECTED out of every US Citizen. The CIA as well as FBI will regularly INSPECT your home for compliance... Extra points for anyone growing heirloom roses and/or David Austin's English roses, --- although the name, "English" might have to be changed to something more ego-centrically American-sounding...
I need your 100% suppotive backing and vote on this, James, --- so now you definitely CANNOT leave this site! After all.... don't you think that Urban Cowboy could at least lead this country in a good C&W Two-Step, or, at bare minimum, at least a half-way decent Waltz??
"Ask not how your country can dance for you; but, ask how YOU can dance for your country!" (My apologies for taking a little liberty with JFK's famous quote - lol!!)
- Ken
Well, that sounds a lot better than this "Country First" we've seen lately, which sounds way too totalitarian to the ears of this longhair, and probably to many other longhairs as well.
Bill
What I'd like to know is how one can be a bible pounding evangelical and also get behind "Country First" instead of "God First." "Country First" sounds like the slogan in one of those dictatorships where there's a state sponsored shell religion. This non sequitur seems lost on that segment of the GOP.
rob
Ken,
I'm fine with all this except that I have never had much luck with hybrid rose varieties, grandifloras, etc. I hope that you will allow some of the citizenry in the hotter and more humid parts of the kingdom to grow "miniature" varieties of roses and more "wild" varieties like the Cherokee rose or those running yellow ones that do not require spraying. And although these really only bloom once per year for a few weeks, the intent of compliance with the law is still there. The amount of chemical sprays needed to grow the hybrid types of roses is much too deleterious to the environment, and I assume that environmentalism will be a facet of your new-formed junta. Now for a truly successful implementation of your policies, a branch of the EPA or the CIA or the Marines should be devoted to defeating rose blight in all its perfidious forms. The funds being spent on the War on Terror can be rediverted into establishing viable, blight-free cultivars of all the top varieties of roses for the aggrandizment of the fatherland's gardens.
Once your new government is formed, I will beg and plead to be made your special undersecretary, lieutenant, and envoy of gardening culture and practice for the state of Georgia. I look forward to the day when the gardeners of the nation shall unite in a florious (no, that is no typo -- Latin, flor = flower) revolution!

Hi James,
I'm glad you decided to stay on the board.
Hi James,
My apologies for the late reply, but I am on vacation, in Pittsburgh, a little ways from home!
Of course, I am absolutely delighted that you will be staying with our community. You really have been one of the most valued members of the hyperboard, and all of us cannot thank you enough for your contributions.
Take care,
David
Yes, Ken, you have my full support on your campaign! =D
-James
Hi James
Couldn't imagine this board without you and so glad you have reconsidered staying. You have always been of the greatest inspiration to all of us and your updates always so looked forward to. I surely wouldn't beat myself up about the other posting and only just saw this one this morning (happily of course) after having been layed-low for a few days but now back to normal..........if that is even possible when it comes to me. LOL :-)
Take care James and continued good luck with your hair.
Justin~
Thanks for staying, James. Your posts are always valued. Keep it growin' and flowin'.
