He's intrested to know if u think it's possible to grow long hair with his kind of hair.

Sure...just let any hair grow and it will get long. I think what he might be concerned about is whether it will ever hang or will it just "afro"? It has been my experience that, with hair like his, given increased length and the application of a light styling aid, the afro curl will dissolve into a hanging wave--very full, but a wave rather than a curl nonetheless. Grow it! And keep us posted on the results.
it would be rad. i have fine/straight, so i get inspired by long hair of this type.

Look at Weird Al Yankovic. His hair was just like that, but now it's down to waist length!
*resident lurker-slash-Al-fanatic speaking* Not waist length yet.. maybe it would be if it were straight, ha ha.. but yeah, Al is a great example of how long curly hair *is* possible.
Yes. of course it is possible to grow it long. Any kind of hair will be long if you don't cut it. It just may take a little while longer to "look" long
