I just got out of the shower about half an hour ago, and I usually just don't even touch my hair and let it dry on it's on. At about this time though, half an hour or so after, I start to loosen it up. My question is, should I use my hands first, or a comb? I usually use my hands, but it seems that a lot of hair comes out. Any help and suggestions will be appreciated.
I always start with gentle finger combing then progress to a wide tooth "wet" comb. I try to wait as long as possible before doing anything, but lately I've been showering too late and need to get out the door. You are going to get a bit of hair coming out but you'll get more if you attack with a comb first.
Hope this helps.

Try this:
While still in the shower, loosen all the tangles with your fingers first, then a wide tooth comb while you are rinsing the conditioner out.....later, your locks will dry without tangles so you will not be pulling those precious strands out.
Good Luck

I always start with finger combing and only when it fully dried I use a comb on my hair.
