Hey everyone, I came across this board while searching for male long hair care tips. Hopefully ya'll can help!
I've been growing my hair out for over a year and it's about an inch past my shoulder when wet. I inherited thick hair from my mom (I don't think I've gotten a hair cut where the barber/stylist didn't comment on the thickness lol). Overall, I would describe it as wavy/straight but past my ears it has a ridiculous habit of curling like half way so that I have hair pointing off the side of my neck in all kinds of random directions. It's even worse because I wear hats pretty much any time I'm not sleeping so I tuck the hair on the sides and front behind my ears which leaves only the curly lower section of hair exposed, making it look way worse. I don't need to get it straight, I just want it to have either full curls or simply wavy rather than these half curls that stick 2 feet off the side of my head lol.
I'll post a pic if you're having trouble understanding what I'm talking about based on my description.
Everyone with wavy or curly hair goes through this stage, when it's longer it will settle down and doesn't look like this anymore.
So just have patience.
