Hi there,
Forgive me for being a bit previous and I'm just catching up on things as I've been away in Edinburgh in Bonnie Scotland for a few days and longer than a bus trip!
I was just watching last weeks "Later" with Jules Holland on BBC2 and I see that Metallica were and the actually did a half decent live playing of "The Day That Never Comes" from their new album!
Cheers,
John.
Actually the guitar solos are very cool in the new album. I forgive their horrible last album.
Agreed! I'm sure they'd like to put St. Anger behind them and move forward. Every great band puts out an occasional dud. "Cyanide" gives me chills every time I hear it.
I think it was at Donnington 06 that Lars actually apologised to the crowd during their headlining set for St. Anger!
Metallica is getting better, it feels like they're still healing from the atrocious work they did on St.Anger.

I don't mind their new album either, but its definitely not their best, I like the guitars on the album. I just wish they hadn't made it so loud when they mixed it removing the detail :( (Especially with the drum sound omg).
