Heya all i've been lurking here for quite some time but decided i may as well post now :) I've been growing it for two and a half years roughly with just one trim about a month ago =-] Unfortunatly u i do use hair strightners and heat protection spray but im trying to get myself of this as it can remain quite straight without but curley at the back a bit :S. Anyway how are you all doing and i wish you all the best of luck !
Your hair looks in good condition. you must be using your products correctly and not over much. Is it you actual colour or has it been altered? Either way the auburn highlights look really cool in the long hair.

Welcome to the board, it's great you decided to de-lurk.
Your hair looks in good condition, but I would advise you to try to be as gentle as possible with your hair if your aiming for greater lenght. The longer it get's the older your hair is.
Hi Luke. You have nice, straight healthy hair. Hopefully, you just had a dust trim. I am at 21 months.
Regardless
Dude, you look fine. You must be doing something right! :-)
Welcome to the board,Luke!Your hair is not only looking perfectly natural, but awesome and in great condition.Peace and cya round =).
Well i did dye it black about 2months previous to that but that colour has near enough faded out now and im not going to dye it again reading up on some hair advice and dying isn;t really very good for your hair. Yep my natural hair colour is dark brown. I'm aimig to get it the longest it can go really so im not really sure how long or far away that is. Yeah i only had a dust trim really to get rid of the ratty bits at the bottom but im still getting qite a few split ends but maybe its just better to leave them be. Thanks for the posts and im glad im delurking now too :)
Hi Luke,
Welcome to the hyperboard, and I am glad that you decided to "de-lurk" and share with us your progress. Your hair grows very quickly, and that is great progress for 2 1/2 years. It is filled with shine and looks very healthy.
Keep it growing,
David
Very nice!
Do you use chemical straighteners or are you ironing it?

Hi Luke welcome to the mlhh and I'm glad you started to participate.Your hair looks fabulous right now but I'd be very cautious of messing with strighteners and such. Why not take the very best advice offered by Justin who posted a few threads down and just let your hair grow and take what nature has given you.I know we always think someone else has nicer hair but its always best to accept what was given to you naturally as in the end you'll be pleasantly surprised my friend:)

Hey Luke,
Your hair looks great! I use a a flat iron on my hair sometimes because otherwise it's a tangled mess...plus I just like the way it looks and feels. Get yourself a good natural bristle brush and I'll bet you'll cut down on the straightening stuff, as I did. Anyway...it looks great...especially after 2 1/2 years!
Take care and keep it growin'!
Brett
Growing My Hair Out...Again! Progress Pics
Glad to finally have you posting, Luke! You have some great hair. As long as you don't go wild with the straightener, you should be okay. However, there's nothing wrong with having a little natural curl and wave in your hair. Always makes for a nice, varied look. Thanks for posting! =)

Thanks. Yeah i know what you mean with the nice feeling of the strightners but it feels so dry afterwards even with heat spray. Well today i have only brushed my hair, no strightners or spray yet :) Though it seems my hair is naturally quite knotty and as georgiaboy suggested getting a bristle brush helps so i may try that and ditch my old plastic one :)Also if anyone could tell me why i get so many erm little tangles at the top of my head, i guess thats the best i can explain them but they do stick up a bit and are genrally are alot smaller than my other hairs. Good luck everyone, and keep it growing too, it's worth the patience :)
Nice post Luke, your hair looks very good and in good condition in spite of the straighteners. You already know to get away from that so your on top of things obviously.
It would be cool to see how curly it gets without straightening it. Some time later post again if you want to and show us the after effect.
Take care
Kevin
