Went to the beach today and was going play in the ocean but the water was a little too rough to stay in long. Some people I was chatting with took this pic. No, my hair isn't really red! :-) Check out some wave pics and other stuff at my Flickr page...

My Flickr pics...
Hey Rick, great pic of you showing your braveness in getting in the ocean and those pics on your flikr page are beautiful. Your hair is very long and looks good on you. I wonder how long it took you to detangle after your ocean romp!
Cheers,
Max
Thanks, Max. As far as detangling the mess, I just let it air dry and then finger combed it. It actually wasn't as tangled as much as I thought. After it dried, I noticed it seemed like I had a little more 'fluff' than normal. Felt pretty grungy, though. Probably a lot of sand. also!

Cool pics Rick the water looks cold. I remember your hair not being red when I saw you in SF so I was like "OMG he died his hair" when I first looked at your post before reading it. LOL
Kevin
Yep, the water was pretty cold but having the wetsuit on made it very tolerable. It's quite interesting how the different combinations of film, camera, and lighting can change the apparent color of hair. I was using a relatively cheap underwater camera I bought a couple of years ago. It's a reusable 35mm plastic camera in an underwater housing. $22! No way will I take my digital camera in surf like this! :-)

Hi Rick,
That is a cool photo, yourhair is certainly long, and that water sure looks cold! Those are wonderful photos of California in your Flikr account, and what a beautiful part of the world you are blessed to call your home. Those waves are exceptional.
I am not sure if I will be getting to California next spring as I had planned earlier, but a trip to your part of the world is still in the cards at some future time.
Take care,
David
Hello David,
Glad you like the pics. Check back every now and then because I'm always adding more. Hope you can make it to California sometime in the future!

Hi Rick,
Looks like you had a blast in the surf as the Pacific ocean is so cool when compared to the Atlantic ocean by me.I give you credit for leaving your hair loose like that and taking to the waves.Hopefully it didn't get too tangled as I'd be chomping at the bit thinking I'd to have to spends possibly an hour or so detangling my hair after doing that.LOL. Maybe that's why I avoid water sports.Anyway Rick you look awesome there and the hair is quite long now:)Be well my friend!
Mark
It was fun playing in the ocean. I never did get all the way in due to how rough the surf was. I went out a very small way and took the pics. Instead of me going to the water, I let the water come to me! :-) A lot safer, also. I thought I'd just let my hair air dry and take care of it when I got home. When it dried, I finger combed it. It wasn't as messed up as I thought it'd be.

Those are fun update pics indeed, Rick, --- and I just love your philosophy and attitude towards life (I also read your other post way down the page)... Keep on surfin', and keep on ridin' that bike of yours to save gas, --- and DEFINITELY keep on growin' that wonderful mane of yours!!!
Long Lox 4ever,
Ken
Glad you like the pics, Ken. I'm not a surfer yet... eventually! My roommate had a bodyboard he wanted to give me about a year ago. Should've taken him up on it at that time. He's since donated it to Goodwill!
Take care, Ken!

That looks very cold, thanks for sharing these pictures.
Yes, the water was cold. Wetsuits work wonders! As far as the pics, check back every now and then because I'm always adding some more.

Strange? No way Rick. But fun and refreshing for sure.
Thanks so much for sharing these.
Justin~
Definitely refreshing... when the cold water hits your face! Thanks for tweaking up the pic a bit. It was cropped from a much larger pic so the resolution's not that great. Below is a link to the original pic [color tweaked up a notch].

Your hair looks great...even when wet!!!
Take care,

Growing My Hair Out...Again! Progress Pics
Thanks, Brett. My hair is so fine that when it's wet, it doesn't look like I've got much. And when it's dry, it still doesn't like like I've got much! :-) Your hair's coming along nice... just keep it growin'!
